miamiwhite
For me personally, I've been a fan and encountered us clinch promotion 6 times iin 43 years of watching the Whites. Favourite for myself is a toss up between Wrexham and Reading, but I'll go for Reading as it had bloody everything...

Might only have 4 if I wasn't there....

I've got 4 in 25 All ace in their own ways 93 - started off slow and built up to a strong finish 95 - the play off semis plus final plus cup run 97 - steamrollered it 01 - around the time me and mates really started to rack up the away days But does that mean we only had 2 promotions from 73 to 91? I think so pal,77/78 and 87/88. A lot centres around the number 7 , that's why we're going up this year.

Matt Lofthouse
Nob end at Cardiff was splendid, but Reading will take some beating.
ZiggyStardust
Preston 1st time around. Winning promotion in a home game, on the final day, is the dogs. Wrexham a close second. The play off victories were almost more of an occasion than about promotion per se, and 97 was inevitible by the time it rolled round . Oxford ? QPR ? Missed Blackburn as my dad said I was too young to go.
Morizio
Reading in the play offs was great how we came back. Man City away, already promoted. Were we champions then?

The cock suckers wouldn't let us have a party in their ground and gave us about 2k tickets.
embankment
That night at Ewood. I have never seen away support like it.When i used to work a Thwaites , every now and then that night would come up in conversation.Rovers fans all agreed that still is the largest away folowing to hit Ewood. Man City did take a big following some years ago but no where near that nights numbers. The Darwen end was packed out. We got there at around 6pm. No chance of getting in , managed to get in their end. 50% bolton. When Worthington drilled that ball in ( seemed to take ages before he shot ) the whole ground erupted. Remember getting the train back to Bolton and the only place we could find for a drink was Space City. But even with all those memories . Reading at Wembley was the pinicle. Site Supporter Spider Posted March 30, 2017 Site Supporter Share Posted March 30, 2017 1) Reading. As Miami says, it had the lot and it was the only time I got dust in my eyes at a football match 2) Preston - The scenes along Manny Road and up onto Bradshawgate that evening were BWFC fans at their absolute pissed up finest. Guys hanging from lamp posts, out of pub windows. Sheer joy.
