Chuffed to bits with that - all has pretty much been said already.

Hull surprised me especially in the 1st half how poor they were. They are big trouble this season, no doubt about it. Didn’t really think they would struggle but I’m sure we can finish above them.

Looked a few tired legs out there at the end, great team effort

Played some good football today, fully deserved win. They were all fucked in the last 10 mins but kept going with some decisive blocks, special mention to Ameobi in that respect. Was worried after Pratley and Henry went off but that's when we played our best stuff. Cullen had a great game.

Hull could have made us pay in the last ten, but they were woeful, thankfully.

The 2 clearing headers in extra time from Madine were crucial as we were right under the cosh and hanging on by our finger tips.

He did a few like that on Saturday too

It’s like he’s grown a foot taller recently (metaphorically)

Think he’s always had the ability looks like he’s finally grown up as a footballer and he’s our talisman at the moment.

Really? I thought 3 or 4 of their clever through balls totally ripped us apart at times and we rode our luck.

On another day we could have easily lost that game 3-1.

But it's New Years Day, 3 wins out of 4 over the Christmas period....and the Whites are staying up!

Don't mind admitting to be one of those who thought free kick was made for Ameobi but gladly proved wrong, great strike. Thought he was unlucky rather than missed a sitter with that late header, was grappling with their defender and just tried to steer it back across into where he'd more goal to aim at. Some sterling defending late on as well.

Thought we were unlucky not to have made it easier for ourselves second half, got into a lot if threatening situations but ball didn't run kindly a couple of times, keeper made good save off Morais and a couple of efforts just off target. Cullen did well, was busy, made plenty of challenges and passed tidily. Burke also good, his bit of extra pace is handy. Little strong again, hard to shake off the ball. Buckley only one who doesn't do it for me, worked hard for the team but first touch was awful and looked lumbering when on the ball

All in all though a great win, players giving every ounce for their manager, each other and us, can't ask for more than that. Nine points from those four fixtures a tremendous return.

Prob didn't hear it on the radio pre match but apparently he's stopped drinking and didn't go the players christmas do

I feared the worst with both Henry & Pratley going off but this team /squad has got some real fighting spirit in it now.

Cullen was very good again & I thought unlucky to lose his place from Saturday but Madine was MOM again & havlng a real purple patch.

Hopefully the gap before the Brentford game will give anyone with knocks the time to recover.

Hurrah again.

Highlights show the goal and the header miss from

Madine and then a one way one sided game of attack against defence. Surely it can’t have been that?

They had the majority of possession, but we had as many chances and shots as they did.

We defended stoically but we did look under the cosh for the last 10-15 minutes certainly.

Aye. Gone TT apparently.

Whatever he's done; fair play to him, he's got better this season.

As for the game, we were a little hamstrung by losing two guys first half- it restricted parky's sub options.

I did wonder if wheater might come on and us revert to five at the back - using wingbacks for width.

Madine seemed a bit knackered second half- he's played a lot- and morais was playing in a position he didn't seem completely comfortable with.

That said, the commitment was absolutely magnificent.

Hands up anyone telling Madine to leave that free kick for Sammy.

It's a fair cop guv'nor.

Thought we were good from one to eleven today Buckley less so but he worked hard and the injuries meant he had to stay on.

COYFWM! Onwards and upwards.

Just a little complaint.

Wish Alnwick would improve his kicking.

Don’t know if it was that or the wind, but pretty much every kick was poor.

WTF?!

His kicking today was the best I’ve seen from him
