Marc505 Posted May 9, 2020 Posted May 9, 2020 Yeah but bantz innit. In fact a large proportion of of the posts I've seen on my Twitter today are of full parks, streets and parties. So lockdown is done I think. Mind you, it was probably done after a week for people like this. Isolation was too much for my mental health yah. (And these will be the ones shouting loudest in years to come about the sacrifices they made back in 2020) Quote

There are groups of lads all over the shop, wandering around drinking lager. It’s like the middle of summer. Might as well lift it entirely and let the lot catch it. Wankers. Aye, this isn't lockdown in any sense, other than being urged to stay at home Lockdown is where you can't leave your house without permission or face a fine for breaking the rules Quote

You'd have to say, it's highly unlikely that any of those people will have been respecting the lockdown up to this point anyway. And of course, same bloke... Edited May 9, 2020 by Tombwfc Quote

Videos circulated of their police kicking the fuck out of people, perhaps deliberately setting a marker down for the more pig ignorant amongst their population. Then you had certificates for leaving the house, no exemption for exercise etc. I think that's probably translated into better figures, but there may also be a price to pay down the line for those societies. Don't think we will truly know the best approach for some time. Quote

Escobarp Posted May 9, 2020 Posted May 9, 2020 Interesting today that van tam when showing the total deaths line urged caution when analyzing it due to lack of clarity on how others are measuring deaths. I believe we are now probably at the front of the queue in being quite open about it and counting the lot but from his words I gather they firmly believe others aren’t. either way it’s too many deaths this thing is a truly awful virus and it’s scary to think we have to live with this for many months to come Quote
Ani Posted May 9, 2020 Posted May 9, 2020 We have a copper on our street. Chatting (at a safe distance !!) he said round here (middle class area) everyone is following lock down no issues. Harehills which is shit area of Leeds they had to stop an 11a side game of football this week. 2 full teams in kits with subs , trainers , managers etc etc. Says little has changed there. Quote
Boby Brno Posted May 9, 2020 Posted May 9, 2020 2 Tweets, 2 days. This is the BBC. It’ll all be the government’s fault though. Quote

Zico Posted May 9, 2020 Posted May 9, 2020 Though to be fair if at that age i had the choice of staying in with my mum and dad or going out to try and finger some of those girls I'd have done the same Quote

I’d probably be on the hunt at that age! Quote

Especially those still living with mam and dad. Jesus, I can imagine they are climbing the walls. Quote

jeep Posted May 9, 2020 Posted May 9, 2020 I'm 52. I was chatting to my mate last week, who I've known since we were 11, about how we would've behaved if this was going on when we were 18/19, etc. We both agreed that we'd be meeting up with all our mates for a game of footy, drinking beers, shagging birds. When I was that age I still lived at home with my mum. At that time I really didn't get on well with her. I was finding every excuse to get out of the house away from her. I dread to think what it would've been like if this shit happened then. So, although I'm definitely not defending these youngsters I can understand why they're doing it. When you're young you think you're invincible..... Quote
