Blackpools water is that colour due to the sand and silt type of the bay, when it's choppy the sand gets kicked up and makes the water murky, the weathers been calm so it won't be churning up as much, however it does look like there is some visual effect going on with that water..quite nice

 

Going of what Mrs Swanny has told me many times.

36 years ago all the piss and shit was being pumped about one mile offshore. Things have improved over time not quiet blue flag yet but can't be far off.
