Few parts were awarded blue flag a couple of years ago 👍🏻 Surely quieter shipping lanes and fuck all happening at fleetwood, knot end and Southport will have a combined effect along with the weather of course. Im sat looking at it now, it’s staggering tbh. Quote

Not sure how many bags some folk would have in their freezer. It was nailed above for me; not being well off doesn't justify being a lazy bugger. Been shopping for a few folk during this lockdown and one case is a real eye opener. Surprised he's alive to be honest. A tax on this processed shite wouldn't go amiss for me. Quote

That did/does what you said from cooking on a budget classes and serving meals up cooked following the budget menus which were freely available. The problem for these people though is deciding which way to spend their limited resources. Meter electricity isn’t cheap and putting the oven on eats the funds. Debt counselling was also offered as well and the guests had been referred by agencies. Yes and I know that there's no easy answers. The meter thing in itself needs sorting. The fact that the poorest people pay the most for fuel is abhorrent. Quote

Maybe food banks could put together 'starter' packs of basic cooking ingredients and send those out. Although folks still need to know how to make use of them. My Brother in Law is in the food business and when the lockdown was imminent and the shelves started to empty of pasta and tinned tomatoes he remarked that for many people, opening a jar of Dolmio and boiling some pasta was the limits of their cooking knowledge. Hence they all made the same choices when the shit was hitting the fan. Never have been able to stomach liver, whichever way it's been served. It'll have to be FarmFoods after all. Liver, onions, bacon tomato. Home made gravy, some mash and veg. Mmm. Skinters banquet. Quote

Yep. I don't blame anyone for seeking pleasure where they can find it. I'd sooner live in a world where people are free to make poor decisions than the reverse. It's just a pity that they're now coming with a side order of Covid-19 on top of all the other shite. Quote In your hospital, which groups of people are most affected by COVID-19? Obese people. Even the young ones, as young as 20 years old. According to doctors, the virus has a stronger effect when the patient's fat levels are higher. Out of our 50 patients, 30 weigh over 100 kilos. Can we not just be honest about this. Obese people get everything they deserve the fat cunts. They're a drain on the NHS at the best of times. There is no excuse these days for obesity, you can get fruit and veg far cheaper than any processed shite the supermarkets can sell. So put down the pizza, and eat some carrots you fat cunts I'm not so sure. I'm sure there were equal amounts of greedy bastards in the 50's 60's 70's and 80's yet not so many fat twats. Research I've seen reckons it's down to availability. If you live next door to a kebab shop, you eat more kebabs. In my year at secondary school, mid 80s there was one proper fat lad, out of 150. In my 15 yr old lads school year it's about a 3rd of them. He's got a chinese mate who's getting on for 20 st. Edited May 8, 2020 by peelyfeet Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted May 8, 2020 Posted May 8, 2020 Availability makes a big difference of course, but if you're living on takeaways, you're not skint. Ultimately, it's a lifestyle choice, but often with habits set as children. Quote

Ruba Mustafa Posted May 8, 2020 Posted May 8, 2020 So have I got this right? left wing socialists want this lockdown to continue so it will wreck the economy and they can then complain about government and austerity? if lockdown is lifted they can say gov don’t care about people v economy. normal people want lockdown easing slowly to lessen the burden on nhs. right wingers want lockdown lifting coz it’ll kill more of the moronic Marxist moaners. i think I’ve got it sussed 😊 Quote
