Eddie
Sheehan Maghoma Morley Looks weak as fuck but I really don’t agree that adding GT’s yellow cards makes it any more sturdy. It at least means we get out from the back and should dominate possession

I don’t really see any midfield combination that inspires confidence until we have a fully fit Dempsey back / have seen more of Maghoma / understand where CMG fits in. It’s got to be number one priority come January, surely!

We're too weak in the tackle all over the pitch which is part of the reason why our disciplinary record is crap. While we try to tackle, they don't have the skill set to do it properly. Can't football our way out of L1, need to be able to mix it
Site Supporter desperado Posted November 2, 2023 Site Supporter Share Posted November 2, 2023 Seemed the best place to put it. Kean Bryan Retiring at 27 due to knee injury. Its a touching retirement statement. During that period of dross that came through the door here, technically and performance wise I thought he was one of the better ones. I was hoping he might have stayed. Looking back that equalising goal at Blackpool in Feb 2020 just before Covid hit, was probably the highlight of the year (albeit for about 1 minute before Blackpool got the winner! 🤣)

We turned up for one game after Jan and was Tranmere. How important that ended up being in the end for our skip rat friends from the Wirral

The support at the end of the 5-0 drubbing was absolutely fantastic. Goose bumps stuff. We all knew we were fortunate still to have our club. Shite game, we saw that shit beanpole non-league striker lumbering around the pitch for a bit, got absolutely fucking drenched on the way back to the pub after. Eventually dried off, went into Manchester for beers and then stood in a puddle that turned out to be ankle deep. Called it a day and went home not long after. Oh, and that fucking moron we had in charge had the temerity to question our support. What a cunt.
Lt. Aldo Raine
I think it was Rochdale away when we had Liam Edwards as a defensive midfielder, with Sonny Graham and Ronan Darcy ahead of him and Zouma at centre half

Sad he's had to retire. Only 2.5 years ago he was in the Sheff U team that won 2-1 at Man U in the league, and he scored 1 of their goals. Had a good attitude and decent ability, just here in the wrong era.
Johnnyrotten
Coventry was a real high point for me too. A tear jerker, buzzing after it. Difficult to explain to any none Bolton fan afterwards why I was on a high given there were about 6k of us watching a 0-0 L1 game and we were on minus 11 points 😆 Edited November 2, 2023 by Johnnyrotten

Just my opinion but I think the main problem of half that team was being past their past (and having a strange manager). Many were proven at least good standard L1 in their careers at some point: Lowe, Bryan, Hobbs, Nsiala, Murphy, Hamilton, O' Grady. Line up the season after a lot worse IMO: Crellin, Santos, Baptiste, Jones (3 good 'uns there obviously), Greenidge, Comley, White, Gordon, Sarcevic, Delfouneso, Doyle. Subs Taft, Crawford, Hickman, Mascoll, Amoateng, Tutte
