Log onto WW. Ooh Transfer news is 'hot'. Who have we signed? Click on the link all excited and it turns out it's a row between posters. No wonder pre season feels like forever.
  2. I agree and there is a discussion to be had absolutely. I think the police especially had an unacceptable level of distain for poor girls being groomed by Pakistani gangs. I also thought peely had a very good point on the ridiculous nature of reporting these days just to whip up clicks by mainly right wing media. Both things can be right at the same time imo.
  3. You have just said I don't care about the victims of child sex abuse and only about the colour of their skin. That isn't debate or discussion. That's closing down the discussion and making wild unfounded and unanswerable accusations. Asking "what are you doing about the problem" isn't debate or discussion. That's closing down the debate with an absolutely absurd and ridiculous question. Do we have to take action on things we find disconcerting in the press? When you don't have a reasonable debate this is always your course of action. Thickos, Brown People, Foreigners, yadda yadda yadda.
  4. That surprises you after his defence of the ethnic cleansing crew?

Don't give them a penny. Don't give them hotels, don't give them houses, don't give them HMOs. We need to stop people making money on them.

They can’t, what needs to be sorted is what happens once they land. Large facilities like being used in America that won’t attract people here would be a good starting point. Be confined to said facility unless some kind of community service work is available. If their application is refused then they’re returned in 48hrs. Non of this appeal bollocks

I don't think is illegal to look for both strikers and keepers at the same time. Unless you're aware of some regulation about that.

Paperwork? another joke? Thousands coming from France with none on a daily basis!

It did ... but it's bllx. Celtic are buyers of players. This lad will be lucky to get 5 minute cameo's off the bench in Cup games.
  10. I'd say the only reason you'd bring in facts and figures about other paedophile cases, especially in this discussion, is it suggest the Muslim grooming scandal isn't as big as made out. You hear it time and time again during these discussions. It's like talking about Barry Bennal and what a disgrace it was that people knew and it was allowed to manifest but then someone says yeah but it's just one bloke in a vast network of coaches. Who gives a fuck. We are talking this particular regardless of how many other cases involving certain demographics. The only reason people say yeah but what about and bring up the Catholic Church or any other problem areas is try and take the spotlight away from this particular issue. That's downplaying it. Yon lad yesterday played down the fact the bloke was working in Rochdale and could come in to contact with victims. It's quite feasible and even if the chance was minute, shouldn't be allowed to happen. His comments 100% were trying to downplay that situation. In a range of posts he made some serious whataboutery by bringing up the wider world of child abuse and also downplayed the fact that this guy was allowed to live and work in an area where he'd abused and lead the abuse of countless young girls. Go back and read his posts.
  11. Haha fuck off then ya soft arse.
  12. Before you go. This is the third paragraph of Baroness Casey’s report recommending a national inquiry. It’s on the government web site. ‘They were convicted of treating teenage girls as sex slaves – repeatedly raping them in filthy flats, alleyways and warehouses. The perpetrators included taxi drivers and market traders of Pakistani heritage, and it has taken 20 years to bring them to justice.’
  13. same as the last one, and the one before that, and before that same as the next one, and the next one after that, and after that
  14. Maybe, just maybe, the reason Pakistani grooming gangs are reported on so much is because of years and years of neglect shown by the police/social services etc to those girls who were targeted because of their race and age.

George Yardley, born Kirkaldy, Fife. Played around 120 games, scored 58 goals in 1966-70. At a time when Tranmere knew their place ... getting re-elected normally.

Signing a load of keepers increases our squad size height which is the most important thing.
  18. Really hope this lad has an impact this season. Definitely a player in their but lost his way with all the Evatt baggage I think.
  19. I'm being critical of dumbed down articles written by sensationalist outlets who fail to tell their readers the reason why the story is back in the news. They do this because they rely on ad revenue clickbait for their income instead of informative journalism. Their coverage on this is designed to create rage in their readership, it's not designed to do anything that will help get the scumbag deported, help the girls or inform the readers of the progression of the case. Theyre making money out of fools. According to the Times, child sexual abuse offences committed by groups (2 or more) account for 3.7% of those recorded. Grooming gangs account for 0.6%. Of that 0.6%, 23% are comitted by ethnic minorities.. Even if they're all muslim, which they won't be, this means for every 1,000 child sexual abuse cases 998 of them are not committed by muslim grooming gangs. Wouldn't think so by the % of comments that appear to be pointed in their direction would you? I wonder what influence the gutter press has on this phenomenon?

I've not been abusive Sincey. I didn't mind Lolos and he could definitely do a job somewhere else, probably with less aspirations than us tbf. He was just systematic of Evatts insistence of bringing in socks rolled down fancy pants number 10s. He was surplus to requirements even in a system that was loaded with them. Seeing as we've ripped that manual up he's even more so now. Good luck to the lad, the manager clearly doesn't fancy him. Even the manager that bought him didn't fancy him much.
  21. So a news outlet reports on the leader of a grooming gang is convicted and issued a deportation order. He's then cracked on and lived a normal life working in the town he sexualy abused, drugged, gang raped and ruined the lives of children there. He's not been deported because "Pakistan don't want him" Hes working whilst building a property in the country that "doesn't want him" I'm really struggling to grasp how this can be considered as click bait or being sensationalised in any way shape or form. How can anyone possibly lay this at the door of the reporting news outlet or journalist? It's honestly no wonder these cases were allowed to manifest and grow with folk like @peelyfeet You are part of the problem.
  22. I can categorically state ,some soldiers who served in Northern Ireland were guilty of behaviour that could be found as a crime whilst in the pursuit of their duty. There is plenty of evidence.Vast majority didnt and were in a difficult position, it’s for those ones , the ones that just did their tour , the ones that potentially committed crimes should be investigated for as much as the victims , anybody who supports the reputation of the army should want it too as it tarnishes the whole lot if it’s its seen as a whitewash to say otherwise is what is ignorant of the facts to blindly support someone just because they were in the British army is naive at best . this isn’t anti army or anything political , I get the “ terrorists released “ argument to an extent but the fact is , they were found guilty , served whatever sentence before being cut short, rightly or wrongly some members of the armed forces behaved in a way not fit of the reputation during the troubles and have yet to be held to account . I’m not talking about situations where say a soldier felt threatened and reacted in wrong way in hindsight ,or even mistakes , they shouldn’t be punished , as I say they were in a difficult hell hole at times, I’m talking deliberate acts with severe consequences that some engaged in .

Aye. Ive no issue with helping folk in need. I also know we need immigration on a quality level. But let’s not pretend these thousands on the dinghies are desperate, skint and hungry. It costs them £20k each. I haven’t got £20k to spare and I’ve got a dead good job. So someone on their arse in a dusty shithole out east definitely doesn’t have £20k. it needs sorting, but I will say the gangs are clearly the problem so Starmer has the right idea but he needs help from the EU mob. At least he’s fucking trying.

Sounds good. We need to tell those landlords who are taking the coin to stop doing so. Some of them, would you believe, are anti-boat folk yet still want the coin. Thats going to make it all that bit harder

True .but it’s individuals making money on them hotel billionaires and black market gangs it’s costing tax payers 100s millions . if the benefits are lower like you say than in France than in the uk doesn’t take a rocket scientist to work out were there going to Rock up ever one is an economic migrant non are asylum seekers no matter what the rules are that’s the truth otherwise they wouldn’t be passing through 10 countries to get here . First step should be tents for anyone coming over instead of hotels there happy enough living in them in Calais so bring your own next step is cash in hand jobs black economy Uber delivery , car washes , vap shops ect clamp down 90 percent of the problem would then disappear if that doesn’t work drop out human rights convention and take them back to France there as been to much fucking about by government who do not want to solve it .

  30. Can you show me where?
  31. Yeah he said something about only having work permits allocated to 2 foreign players being signed from abroad at any one time so Gale and Ceesay would be the 2 and Schon would meet the criteria to move to a different type of work permit.
  32. I think one of the most underappreciated and important things to remember about the grooming gang scandal is that the victims weren't just sexually assaulted, they were quite literally brutalised and tortured by large groups of men They were beaten with baseball bats, cut with knives, set on fire, kidnapped, held captive - in one case the judge's sentencing remarks noted the the rapist used a pump to inflate his teenage victim's back passage The public generally still has no concept of just how extreme the violence they were subjected to was (and no doubt still is) It's why posting about the statistics for sexual offending as a whole, which encompasses a whole array of offences of differing severity (for example, the data includes convictions for posessing indecent images), and posting about incomplete data on the ethnicity of the offenders misses the point

  36. Is the sea wet?
  37. Iles said we were in for Gale before Ceesay and the Brexit paperwork/red tape is a ballache and said that’s the hold up. I think the transfer being leaked has muddied the waters.
  38. Once a club knows a player has value, it seems to be the done thing to get them to sign a contract. They may have no intention of them playing, but they won't be getting to the last year of their deals when fees start to reduce. They know they can get upwards of half a mil for him and the value won't diminish in 6 months or a year if he's got a couple of years left. Wrexham tried to get Dalby to sign an extension even though they clearly didn't want him, and luckily for us he didn't so we got him on a free
  39. It’s fucking boiling

It kind of makes sense after a bit of thought. Although I was flummoxed at first. I think the message it sends is that if you've no relatives here - you've a good chance of being sent back. Even if that does mean as part of a swap deal. Over time that should mean that fewer new families come over and settle - and those that do have some kind of support network. So are less likely to be a burden on the state. And won't now need to make a dangerous sea crossing. Remember how we were talking about young men coming over first and then sending for their families later. It'll go some way to alleviating that. It's not prefect - or even great. But it's a start. And a sign that Starmer has some level of influence with the French. We're not going to crack this nut by one single idea though. It'll be a hundred schemes like this all working together.
  41. He started it The lads a waste of space. Anyway, a good and well balanced post. The discussion is there to be had. Shame others spoil it.
  42. I think that's the key bit. Think most of our lads would be shocked if they spent a week with the IDF in Gaza.
  43. Call it now, will look the best player on the pitch when we play against him. Always thought he was a good player.
  44. Yep, clearly set up as Starmer knows the questions in advance. Safe to say, a few thousand more Reform voters in the bag. It ain’t a forum debate, it’s our elected leaders debating.
  45. Where is the concern for the victims? As long as the scumbag who did it is at large, those girls can have absolutely no justice, and may have all sorts of ptsd type problems bubbling up again. Perhaps a few more to join the list whilst the evil scum is free. Ah, but fuck it, there's nothing we can do about it, and anyone reporting on and discussing it, is just being racist and doing it for clicks. Not only is this attitude part of the problem, but it is contributing to the increase in separation between communities, which will only strengthen those beliefs and attitudes at odds with basic, decent British values. That happens to involve predominantly Muslims, although not solely, that's the reality, and if some decide that that fact equates to racism then tough shit. Get over it. Interestingly there is currently live coverage of a dinghy crossing the Channel. French naval patrol boat just behind it. Mr Macron's amazing "clamp down" during his visit didn't last long.

The exact same twats buying "skinny jabs" from a girl in there that does lip fillers and all that type of stuff. Happily stabbing that into themselves. The mind boggles. Made me laugh and despair at them in equal measure 🤣
