Mannyroader Posted March 9, 2025 Posted March 9, 2025 (edited) Michael Duff gone from Huddersfield. Evatt will take over and Bolton will play Huddersfield in the play-off final at Wembley. Edited March 9, 2025 by Mannyroader Quote
tomski Posted March 9, 2025 Posted March 9, 2025 I think there is a disproportionate belief in Evatt’s standing in the game outside of Bolton. I’d be amazed if he ended up with a top half L1 club. I’d be happy if he landed the job. Quote
maaarsh Posted March 9, 2025 Posted March 9, 2025 First comment on the BBC story is some clown saying Huddersfield are a massive club who should be in the premiership. Honestly boardline if they're in the top 40. Quote

Lt. Aldo Raine Posted March 9, 2025 Posted March 9, 2025 They were on an unbeaten run almost as long as Brum's before they played us It's incredible how quickly things can turn Sacking Duff and replacing him with an interem head coach from their own coaching staff until the end of the season is good for us, I think Quote
jmjhb Posted March 9, 2025 Posted March 9, 2025 It'll have a big knock-on effect on their B-team/Academy too; I know when Jules took over for the 2 games we were somewhat short-staffed as a result Quote
noxid Posted March 9, 2025 Posted March 9, 2025 Leyton Orient s form almost identical to Huddersfields recently after we also beat them. Quote

While they weren’t mad on duff they think the problems seem to be bigger than him. Let’s hope so. I’m looking up rather than down now. Quote

But people older than me used to feel disbelief in our tumble. People in their 20's see us as a Premiership club fallen on hard times. I like to look back & consider Citeh & Liverpool as interlopers. I know its opposite end of table but Shrewsbury another that were in decent form till they played us, deservedly leading at H-T too. Now its 1 point in last 6 games and virtually relegated. A pity we didn't have the same effect on Wrexham, they just keep churning out those 1 goal wins. Quote
Whitesince63 Posted March 10, 2025 Posted March 10, 2025 Crazy decision for me. They’ve had serious injury problems but let’s be honest one good result and a few players back could revitalise their season. Just another trigger happy chairman who will hopefully pay the price. Some criticised Sharon but at least she gave Evatt every opportunity until the end was the only serious option. Quote
Deanu Posted March 10, 2025 Posted March 10, 2025 Rated Duff at Barnsley where I can see him going back when they sack Clarke, not the best football by any means but hated playing them even his Cheltenham team you knew you were in for a real battle whilst having goals in them. Funny how fast things change in footy, only a little past a month or so ago we ended Hudds 16 game unbeaten run now we have the most proven manager in the division compared to them ending up in the same boat we were in when we arrived at their diet reebok zero stadium. Thank fuck we parted ways with Evatt when we did & struck gold because a few teams would have got to SS first with all these postings recently especially Swansea/Hudds. Quote
Popular Post Wanderlust Posted March 11, 2025 Popular Post Posted March 11, 2025 I know he’s not a manager but Standard Liege fans seem gutted we’ve got Fergal Harkin to the extent that some are saying he saved them from relegation despite having no budget. Sounds positive. On another note, Walsalls manager is called Sadler ie their nickname. Could we see Graham Potter at Stoke, Chris Eagles at Crystal Palace and Stefan Kuntz at Wigan? Quote

Johnnyrotten Posted March 12, 2025 Posted March 12, 2025 3 managerial vacancies in L1 in the north currently, I'd imagine Duff, Warne & Evatt will have an interest in all 3. Ryan Lowe 2/5 favourite for Wigan, Glenn Whelan 2nd favourite!!?? George Boateng same odds as Evatt! Quote
