Plums Posted January 24 Posted January 24 If we could afford that is another question. I certainly would welcome him working closely with the likes of Sharon to give advice. I think she would welcome the expertise. Quote

I know there were all the off field personal issues with Evatt but I wondered did we pot him just that bit too soon? He seemed finally to be accepting that we needed a tweak to the system with the young left back from Liverpool and move for a more experienced and physical striker, sadly losing out on James Collins. Maybe if we had given him this last window he might have delivered but we’ll never know now will we? I’m genuinely sorry it didn’t work out for Evatt and whilst I didn’t like him as a person we did play some outstanding stuff under him but I think the Wembley no show hurt him far more than we realise. Nah he should have been potted after Oxford. He'd had enough time to sort out our problem's and didn't,our record for the past 12 months was poor.If anything I think we gave him to much time Quote

Is that why Sharon’s missing the bond meeting tonight? Quote
Zog1 Posted January 24 Posted January 24 I believe it's Schumacher and it's going to be announced after the game tomorrow. Quote

We can't afford his fat fingers in our little pies nowadays. He also had chances to buy in when we were nearly dead in the water, solo or with a consortium, but he kept his head down. I'll always love his time with us, hated how he left, but it's best in the past. Quote

Has anyone listened to him on that no tippy happy football podcast? He was genuinely innovative in his time with s and something that still he isn't given enough credit for, but time has moved on. I'm.totally sure he'd get a lot out of this team but looking long term it's not going to work for a club that is looking to build for the future. The past holds wonderful memories but that's where it should stay. Quote

Wanderlust Posted January 24 Posted January 24 Schumacher seems the best option out of the limited choice we appear to have. Not sure we have the players he would want/need and not sure that a section of our fans would have the patience to allow him to put a team together though. But that’s probably true for any incoming manager. Cant believe Fat Sam has been even mentioned in the conversation though given that we don’t have anywhere near enough money to pay astronomical player salaries or line his greedy pockets. Quote
