Hardly shite, just wasn't given a run of games..

He's had dogs abuse for the past 2 years from Bolton "fans", and it needed calling out, because some of our fans are absolute prats.

I remember being at Mansfield away and people shouting out to "Kill Cogley".. absolute vile

Dan's done feck all wrong, and tried to get on with it. He could have sat on the sides getting a wage from us, yet he's upped sticks and gone north to get football. 

Imagine people posting on social media constantly saying you're crap etc, having to know it's your own fans and not even being able to try and prove them wrong. 

Cambridge fans were happy with him till he was injured, St Mirren are happy with him, he's played in the Premiership, we've had enough players injured over the last 3/4 years to realise that it's probably not the players fault, but something going on behind the scenes.. 

 

That said, i've seen people calling Dempsey this week and saying he need's binning off for being injured.

He appeared in 34 League One games, scoring just two goals, in his season and a half with us. When you consider time out injured, he appeared in a significant majority of games, when fit. And he WAS shite.

He scored just 4 in 25 at Cambridge last season. I’ve no idea what their fans thought of him, but that is another poor return.

He has scored 2 goals in a poor league, so far (one more than Scot Arfield). While he’s had a good couple of moments in his first few games, let’s see where he is at the end of the season.

I never had a problem with Dan other than he wasn’t filling his potential ans a physical forward and that’s hardly surprising if he was nursing an injury all the time. Although TBF there were periods when he was fit and basic things like touch and control let him down. He isn’t great at some things and he should admit it.

What pisses me off is players who aren’t injured and have better technical skills than Dan who consistently don’t do the business.

Clearly a sensitive soul, I still go back to the time at Portsmouth when he was getting dogs abuse from their fans and was in tears hugging his family who were in the Bolton end at full time.

Abuse online like he talks about it well uncalled for. He should probably not have a twitter account.

Anyway. The real travesty here is that he was shite on loan for us but we decided to fork out actual money for him to carry on being shit.

I think most of us were surprised the minute Evatt signed him, it never stacked up and injuries made the situation worse.

None of that adds up to making it that right for people to act like dicks on social media. 

All we can do now is wish the lad well in the Jock league and in having to cope with the hideous sound of bagpipes.

Yes, Dan was shite. I wanted to be proven wrong, and I gave him enough time to do that. He had the first touch of a shite player. And he ran around chasing shadows like a shite player. He never once showed me that there was a player in there. To confirm my assessment of him he will be voted the players player of the year in the SPL - YHIHF.

Kion Etete has moved to St Mirren on loan, that has to be the makings of a dream partnership, the opposition won't know what they're going to do next.

He hasn't scored for 2 years.  How bad do you have to be before you get yourself out of professional football?

The St Mirren manager says he's been watching him for a while "from afar" and he will bring something different.  He's not kiddin.

Some players just seem to trade off potential, don't they?

They have one asset, height, pace, strength, whatever, and no matter how shit their records are they manage to con club after club into giving them contracts

Im convinced it's all big ruse and undercover tv show where they see how far they can get a footballer just on dodgy agent and coaches advice. 

It's all going to come out in a fly on the wall show 100%

I don't think Dan's scored a goal since this thread was created.

On the social media thing, if he was searching his own name that's asking for trouble. But anyone directly messaging abuse to our players (or anyone really) on social media is a cunt and wants banning.

Etete will be playing non-league next year.

You should check out the story of Carlos Raposo made a bundle in a 13 year pro career by training like a beast and then feigning injuries.
