e2e4 Posted July 30, 2016 Posted July 30, 2016 Excellent - an arms race! Similarly scaremongery - Clinton wants some kinda war with russia. That must be why her camp has bin going "ZOMG Russia !! " for the past week or so. Trump's military posturing at no one in particular won't be seen as worse than this watergate-y/email collusion/ wikileaks thing by normals. Six months is ages off , but I think that's it now. It must be some sort of test. Every single post seems to be some kind of riddle Maybe, but when i google "nixon's secretary's foot" the top five answers are about the nixon tapes or watergate (not the hotel; the scandal) in some way. Maybe super famous popular culture references confuse some people, but that's not really my fault. so, i'm not sure how "like watergate , but the press want nixon's secretary's foot to win" can be infered other than the way i intended. Other than the dropping of words like [it's] or before certain sentences, i'm not sure what i did wrong. maybe i didn't specifically refer to the #dncleaks but i thought it werent neccesary considering what trump said (about russia and emails) were all over various websites and news at the time. ymmv Quote

no balls Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 I see Clinton wants to wade into Syria and get rid of Assad. Beltin idea that, let's turn another country into a set of Lord of the flies. Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 (edited) Donald does not help himself but I trust him more than Hillary, think she's more dangerous than DT as she will pander to the lefties. I know I'm in a tiny minority on here but I hope DT wins as I don't think he'll be as radical as he's currently trying to portray himself. Edited July 31, 2016 by Mounts Kipper Quote
BOWTUN BAKED Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 He won't be allowed to be as radical. There's a lot of people in the shadows behind any President, not to mention those in the clear light Quote
gonzo Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 If he can't or won't be as radical as he makes out once in power then the whole thing is a waste of time isn't it? That's the whole idea of him getting the gig is it not? Those voting want to fuck immigrants off and build massive walls? If he's not going to do all that there's a shit load of politicians that could do a better job than some sensationalist bullshitter. Quote
Sweep Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 Also....why are people (albeit utter bell ends) calling him "The Donald"? Quote
e2e4 Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 (edited) You were doing really well, and I was starting to think I'd sussed you wrong, right up until you said "I thought it weren't necessary" At which point you slipped back into a casserole of baffled nonsense. i only said about 12 words after that, and they quantified themselves by explaining what i was refering to (quote, more or less) "considering what trump said (about russia and emails) were all over various websites and news at the time.. " That you never heard what Trump said is not my fault. i couldve hyperlinked the sentence towards the youtube video , but folk moaned at me for even doing that. for completion it's here even typing "what Trump said about russia and emails" into google, the entire first results page is full of stories about what he said. So i'm not sure what those 16 or so words did to throw you off. Also....why are people (albeit utter bell ends) calling him "The Donald"? ROFL his ex wife use to call it him. When was the last time any politician, PM or President to be actually delivered on all their promises? You only have to look at the current incumbent, he was determined to deliver free health care. Never was going to happen over there. Quote

The are both flawed but Clinton at least knows how the gig works, although she would be President a load of advisers tell her what to do. Trump would be pressing buttons all over the place Quote

Maggie Tate Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 Don't panic. The US Constitution was and remains deliberately provisioned to stop wrong 'uns doing whatever they want once President. The authors of the constitution saw this kind of thing coming and made it impossible to govern without quite a broad consensus. Under President Trump there will be no wall. There will be no 20% tax cut. There will be no total repeal of Obamacare. There will be no pre-emptive nuclear strikes. America might just look bad for a bit till a normal human beats him in 2020. frank_spencer Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 If Clinton does win she's got a lot to do in the next 4 years to win the next election unless the republicans nominate another delusional lunatic. I've seen quite a bit of Democratic advertising focusing on people actually voting for hillary, just because if they don't trump gets in, not because she's a good option. Quote

He reckons Trump still has immense popularity away from the two coasts and that there are only 5 crucial states he has to win. He reckoned that in those states the male vote has traditionally been the deciding factor. He reckoned that there are lots similarities to the Brexit shock result and that the liberals may be counting their chickens too soon Quote
tyldesley_white Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 shadowbans or not looking at it correctly are probably at fault with this conclusion. the conservative estab. might throw him under the bus for the status quo. The conservative estab. as you put it are scared that they could now lose all 3 branches of government and also the supreme court, that's why the decision not to put Obama's choice ( who was classed as moderate) mainly because they've said no to him at every turn, so what one more "NO", could come back to bite them in the arse ( and they were warned), and not just in the next 4 years, remember the justices serve for life, if she puts someone, that say in their late 50's early 60's it could have an effect for the next 20 to 25 years Quote
