Happy Wanderer Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 RIP Thoughts go out his family. Quote
seasoned Traveller Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 RIP Phil, sanctioned signings of players I thought I would never see play for BWFC, sad day. Quote
salop wanderer Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 RIP Phil. Now not the time for questions. Just respect. A Wanderer. Like us. Quote
dirty barsteward Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 RIP Phil no doubt about it you loved Wanderers and gave 100%. My prayers are for the family right now. Quote
HomerJay Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 A true white. Will we see a more passionate chairman? Rip Quote
bolton va va Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 RIP, Phil, fellow Wanderer. Sad, sad news. Quote
miamiwhite Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 RIP Phil Regardless of recent events, he was at the helm for the greatest days in our modern history. His family could have given full details of his sad illness to deflect criticism from him, but to their credit maintained radio silence and that is a major credit to them at this very sad time. Sleep well fellow Wanderer. Quote
jagermoot Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 Some lovely things said about him on here. RIP PG. Thanks for the good time and the happy memories. Quote
Baba O'Riley Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 RIP Phil, I went to places I never expected to watching the Whites under your tenure, thank you. Quote
Dr Faustus Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 Genuinely saddened. Undoubtedly a major contributing factor in me realising my dream. I hope for all the bad times, he knew a graduate netted the winner on Saturday, and took comfort that for us at least, there is light at the end of the tunnel. Thoughts with his family and friends Quote
tyldesley_white Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 Put all the present shit in perspective, RIP Phil Quote
onlyoneawalker Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 How very very sad sincere condolences to his family and a significant thank you from me and many others a man with very broad shoulders, a great deal of dignity and with BWFC etched in his pysche - rest in peace Phil Quote
SatanGreavsie Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 RIP Phil, I went to places I never expected to watching the Whites under your tenure, thank you. Indeed. If fate is going to take you relatively early, then at least to be able to say you gave people memories they'll take to their graves is a much as you can ever hope for. I'll raise a toast to the memory of seeing hundreds strolling down Sunny Beach, thousands massing at Bayern and Marseille, and experiencing Red Star and Istanbul; oh and that one-two between Jay Jay and Youri. Giving thousands summat they never thought they would ever see is never a bad legacy. RIP Quote
Estupendo Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 Sad news. Thanks for all the memories. In the round, I think you were the only chairman who I remember getting us to some mighty highs. RIP Quote
Take Hunt Off Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 Compared to what went before achieved much there's always risk & he managed it well . RIP Quote
