No it’s when we won at Charlton and and Baggies nicked it with a late win at Oldham when we had a game left at home. Was in the Oldham end with many Bolton and it was carnage after the Baggies goal

that was 75/76

Wolves was the last game of the season and was gutted; the bastards was already promoted

Last but one. Had to double check as you had me doubting my memory then.

Drew 2-2 last game away at Bristol Rovers.

Bit quirky we played Bristol Rovers last game in consecutive seasons, never realised that before.

Wolves game was definitely the last game of the season though

After this game we hit town. Later in the evening a good dozen Bolton players turned up in The Anchor, off Bradshawgate, accompanied by a rather pissed Ian Greaves.

Greaves slumped over his pint related that Wolves manager Sammy Chung had sympathised with him & said "you'll do it next season Ian" & Greaves had told "the little yellow cunt to fuck off".

In terms of biggest disappointments, all of the above. Also worth mentioning Bolton 0 Wolves 1 on the last game of 76/7 when we lost out on promotion and the 0-1 at home to Everton in the League Cup semi final in the same season. Worth a mention for Barry Knight at Ipswich too in 2000!

Surprised you didnt go for Rob Hall donkey botherers last day play off fail.

The edge gets taken off that for me as it lead to a large portion of their lot having their faces smashed in around Scott's Carpark.

Every cloud and all that :)

Think it was second to last and we still had an away game (Bristol Rovers?) to come. We could still go up with something like a 9-0 win. I thought we still had a chance, but my dad soon put me straight 😁

Was it not 13 nil?? I was disapointed that we didnt go for that on the night

I too have no idea who we've just signed, the Portuguese lad has a great name, sounds like he plays for Man City, so he'll do for me.

Possibly the most impressive signing since Carlos Mendez Gomez

So if everyone was fit and available our loans are now-

ACD, Sissoko, Forss, Burstow, Blackett- Taylor and Apter. Am I missing anyone?

5 in a match day squad. Assuming at least one incoming will be a loan deal.

Last month or so, they’ll be some good players having to be left out all together.

7 loans if Hardie signs but have a feeling we won’t see Forss or ACD again and even if Forss is fit don’t see how he gets in this team as for the other I think Cissoko misses out which leaves 5.  Anyway this isn’t an issue until April

Basically if you don't tow the line and do what the manager asks we will just sign some fuckers who will and you can either fight for your place or fuck the fuck off.

Surely that's the right way? There's a gaffer and his staff who ask for and expect a certain way to play. It's a unique way really to sport in general but it's just the way it works.

Exactly. It's good that the manager has a board and budget to allow it really.

All those who's form fell off a cliff over the past few weeks now have Either been fucked off or something big to think about.
