I can never get a decent kip on a plane. The worst was when I did Manchester-Singapore-Cairns and only got a few hours interrupted sleep.

Yesterday I saw a fella using one of these:

Obviously he's a "massive pillow wanker", but I'm thinking despite looking the total cunt this might actually be the solution on my next long haul jaunt.

At check in ask for seats at the back.

Get on the plane LAST. Wait for name call.

Very few flights scheduled are full.

On the way to seat look for empty rows/seats together and sit in the middle one.

Tempur travel pillows are very good.

Alcohol helps me significantly.

That sounds like a holiday from hell.

Aye, my overriding memory of Torrevieja is its full of dogshit and row after row after row of identikit holiday homes.

Vowed never to return again.

First holiday I've had in Europe for a couple of years, Switzerland and Austria seems full of burkhas and the like. Anywhere else the same which didn't used to be a few years ago?

Surprised me big time

Totally agree Dave. Went to Salzburg for my birthday the other year, never saw a burkha except in my mates Indian who owns it.

Spoke to him today, even he is running scared, told me they've banned pork in kindergartens now.

Getting beyond ridiculous now.

We spent a couple of days in Salzburg, yes there is a fair share there. The last 4 days though we're interlaken in Switzerland. There are almost as many there as there are tourists

Dave, if you like Switzerland mate, a bucket list to cross off is definitely the Grandhotel Giessbach in Brienz, not cheap but priceless once visited.

Scene of a famous part in Band of Brothers. I've travelled vastly pal and never seen breathtaking scenery like it.

It's sad like you say that spots of natural beauty are being overtaken and overrun by let's be honest.....a bunch of utter scum and parasites.

A decade ago would not have seen such trash littering beautiful areas, now,it is rife with them.

I go to Riquewihr in a few weeks.....worth checking out buddy, it's in Alsace, an utterly stunning village on the Wine Route.

So folk walking round in Burkhas are scum, parasites and trash. Righto.

I beg your pardon ?

Look at their doctrine re martyrdom etc.

If they believed in it so much they'd surely fight and die in their own land wouldn't they instead of sponging off the West who they see as infidels ?

Righto

And before anyone throws the race card at me or accuses me of posting braggadocio, I am plainly speaking from first hand experience from my vast travels through Europe.

Europe's demograph has changed significantly for the worse in the last decade. Sweden,France,Germany,Italy,Austria,Switzerland to name but a few...

And yes, there is one one common denominator.........

There were a couple of Afghan mosques near our hotel in Salzburg so I guess that would be the nationality of many Salzburg refugees. Wasn't the safest area where we were. Shame, it's a brilliant city

Don't need to go quite as far for that as that's the case at the Subway at China Gardens.
