That said he's had meetings and probably realised they despite having the 100 MP's, there are 250 in the party that don't want him.. On the one hand we have Rishi.. as complicit as Boris with party-gate, got us into Billions of debt over covid, and is a smarmy little git. The other is vastly underwhelming, makes out she's ex forces, and Joe public would fail to pick her out of a lineup as she's always been in the background. As a party member it's going to be like asking someone how they want to get kicked in the balls, no matter which way we vote, huge chance of getting a shit leader..
