Eddie
Lost two more players (defenders) to long term injuries tonight whilst losing to Villa, no win in 5 games Mates a PNE fan and was saying they were struggling for a fit centre back even before the game

Lostock Whites
Although they are performing poorly recently, any form goes straight out the window when it comes to derby matches.
gonzo
Geography aside, I wouldn't even class this as a derby to be fair.

Burnley/Blackburn style. This is just two local teams playing that don't give a fuck about each other. Site Supporter Tonge moor green jacket Posted November 2, 2017 Site Supporter Share Posted November 2, 2017 Is that because we've just not played each other much recently? Â Remember watching us stuff them on their plastic pitch. Away end proper rammed. Cracking atmosphere. Â In all fairness Blackburn and utd are my top derbies, but still enjoy trying to get one over on them.

I was excited by the prospect of playing them again a couple of seasons ago especially by the Saturday night away fixture, but had no real dislike for them... Â Until their utter delight at adding another nail into the relegation coffin with a win at ours later that season. Fuck em.
tomski
Aye. Never been mithered with Preston but we had always had it our own way against them going back to 93 and maybe before. Didn't enjoy that defeat against them. Still on the day ill hate them day after meh

This used to be one we looked on the fixture list for as soon as it came out. I can remember utter carnage at their place both in the 'bouncy end' and also on their Kop for Roger Hunts debut. Â Preston nick was a busy place when Bolton were in town!
Site Supporter Tonge moor green jacket Posted November 8, 2017 Site Supporter Share Posted November 8, 2017 Suppose its a bit like the Tranmere hatred; for a while we played each other regularly, and there was bitter rivalry. Now they're a non league club, and younger fans would probably cock a snook at them; " Tranmere, who..."
