Shocking result after being 2-0 up

Wasnt there so I dont know if we sat back

We are still back with the pack and undefeated in 7 now

Still need to improve to stay up and it depends a lot on January additions; also need to get enough points leading up to Xmas

Cant see anything but a defeat Saturday

Sat back?

We may has well have been in the aerospace development we were that deep at times.

Stood off and let them play it round us.

When we did get the ball it was hoofed up field and given straight back to Reading

Time to go

I am utterly convinced we spend our entrie time training without a football.

We are fucking brilliant at defending without the ball.

One of the best. To give the ball back to a team time and time and time again and then keep them out has to be admired

However he has completely trained any natural ability out of the entire team.

We didn’t string 4 passes together once tonight. Not once.

One pass to a defender. One ball to madine or to ameobi and then hope for the best.

Time to go

Re frank_Spencer Totally agree mate. In the two matches I've been to this season (Derby home and Villa away), our defence has been clueless mostly.

Haven't got much confidence in the goalie either. Any chance of getting Adam Bogdan back?

Let them play it around us? Behave. They worked their balls off tonight against a team that knocked it around with ease

1st half yes we kept the playing the ball round in their own half.

2nd 45mins we were shitter than a festival long drop on the Sunday. I'm not usually one for over the top criticism but tonight was unacceptable.

We’ve dropped 8 points from winning positions to QPR, Fulham, Sunderland, Reading.

There’s something obviously wrong with Parkys management.

It’s the possession that’s killing us.

Why can’t we just for once, after taking the lead why can’t we be the ones to keep the ball.

Relieves a lot of pressure

The time was 7 games ago

Carry on playing as we are and we'll stay up

Could've won ay the end, never felt second best despite possession stats

I think you're being hypercritical

There's no way we can press that high up the pitch successfully for 90 mins

They'll end up beating quite a few teams away this season IMO

tbf they have had some decent results on the road no mugs, but it’s still unacceptable

Because most teams are simply better equipped and have better players than ours maybe? Might have something to do with the lack of possession

As well as hoof ball tactics as well I might add

I agree.

Reason why this frustrates me with Parky, is that simple passing football does not require millions of pounds and world class players.

He’s got some sort of sexual thrill of playing the long ball.

He’s weirdly insistent on it.

Much to the frustration of our fans.

If we play that style fine, but got to stick tight at the back.

The signs were there for the last 10 mins of the first half, was relieved to go in at HT without conceding. After about 15 mins of the second half I thought we had it sussed despite not being able to keep hold if the ball... but then we sat further and further back. Once they scored it was only a matter of time.

If Reading were any good at defending set pieces they'd have won at a canter tonight, so no matter how frustrating it was a point isn't disastrous IMO.

We have to use the ball better when we actually have it .

Couple of players off the pace tonight which is enough for us to drop points.

Reading were much much better than us ,but the effort was there.

We need to get to Xmas in the mix & hope KA can pull a couple of decent players out of the proverbial hat.

My mate went to Ken’s q&a at the hotel

Said any transfers dealings in January will be loans

carry on drawing at we won’t simple

In fairness to Parky, we aren’t just drawing though

We’ve taken 11 points from 7 which is 1.5points per game

If we kept on averaging 1.5points per game then we would end up with mid 50 points and should be all right

Criticism of sitting deep is bollocks

They wanted us to come out and when we did, they went around and through us

If I'm going to be as picky as some, the first goal is on either Robinson or Burke

Either Robinson for chasing out on his own or Burke for not covering for him

Probably a fair result and I think reading will end nearer the top than bottom

Ps good to see us going strong in injury time

Posted

Again, that's unfair

Time and time again we picked the ball of them on half way and should have made more of those chances

I actually thought we did very well first half of the second half

Daft from Ameobi, he was never going to be in a position to make that challenge and as soon as you’re putting your hands in the air you’ve given yourself up. All he needed to do was try and get a touch to the cross rather than challenge the man, though I’m loathe to criticise him too much as he was absolutely shagged by that point after another night of working his arse off. Can’t fault the effort throughout the side - Pratley in particular seemed to cover every blade of grass - but Madine was woefully isolated up front and for me I don’t see what Armstrong brings to the party, especially with Noone and Buckley sat on the bench.

Gutting result after a 2-0 lead but we can’t say we weren’t warned given Reading missed three very decent chances even in the first half.
