Site Supporter Tonge moor green jacket Posted August 27, 2019 Site Supporter Share Posted August 27, 2019 It is indeed. It's noticeable that the pitch is in fine fettle; someone has been maintaining it, presumably for no money. What a fucking disgrace.
Johnnyrotten
1 potential buyer of Bury has gone to EFL with proof of funds.

Jol_BWFC
EFL in a tricky position. If they refuse the extension then Bury are gone, but they will be blamed by many for not giving the new bidders a chance to save the club. If they allow an extension, they may as well not bother with any deadlines or statements of intent in the future, as they are going back on every one they have previously made. They would presumably also have to cancel another game (which they said thy wouldn’t do) unless the extension is limited to 24 or 48 hrs. Duck Egg
Where have these other bidders been for the last few months? Seemingly only Laurence Bassini wants to take on a club without first looking at the accounts, so all 3 of these are going to need time. Perhaps the EFL could suspend 1 more game or allow them to put a team out Saturday and Tuesday in lieu of a possible successful bid?
MalcolmW
If C&N were the preference of the current owner then the other bids are unlikely to be much good. Unless Bassini rocks up.

Wife saw a builder's van pulled up adjacent to some land at ainsworth a few weeks ago. Some chap overlooking the fields. It's starting to take shape; Bassini is going to build a new stadium and mansion for Ainsworth academicals. He's seen field of dreams too many times. ProfessorWoland
I know after the analytics company withdrew it was desperate but somehow I hoped that one of the late rumoured bids may come through.
Moderators Carlos Posted August 27, 2019 Moderators Share Posted August 27, 2019 I mean, I hate them, their minority toxic supporters, the fact they always beat us, every time in Bury with Bolton gear you get grief, on a Sunderland/Newcastle level. This still isn’t right, the EFL have fucked them over.

The problem is selling Bury and the debts as a League 1 club is more attractive than trying to flog them as a conference north club if their lucky .
