gonzo Posted May 24, 2020 Posted May 24, 2020 Hill won’t be our manager for the start of next season. Quote
DomRepWanderer Posted May 24, 2020 Posted May 24, 2020 His contract runs out in June, so unlikely to get a new one. Quote
Johnnyrotten Posted May 24, 2020 Posted May 24, 2020 No lower league club is going to go all out to appoint a new manager on a proper contract in the current climate. Options would appear to be: 12 month extension to Hill on much reduced terms (given there might not be any matches); he stays on a month to month basis on similar terms to what he's on now; someone like David Lee as "caretaker" if only to act as liaison with our (few) players; or we don't have a manager until the return of matches is relatively close, saving the associated salaries. LeggyMountbatten Posted May 27, 2020 Posted May 27, 2020 Not great that less than 12 months in we are defaulting on payments to the Davies family and restructuring the payments to the administrators. Quote

Well yes but these are not normal times and zero football income for three months was always going to have an impact on the original finance plan. Quote

No, but then they (and many other clubs) probably weren't factoring a globally crippling pandemic into their calculations either. Quote
