They think that local leaders are resisting to Tier 3, when many want a National Lockdown (AKA circuit breaker), as outlined by the venerable Sir Keir. Why aren’t the media picking up on the nonsense that this is? Quote

Spider Posted October 16, 2020 Posted October 16, 2020 Stinks of Cummings, who should be selling his memoirs now instead of still being shoulder deep up Johnson's arsehole every morning. Quote
Zico Posted October 16, 2020 Posted October 16, 2020 Client of mine was featured on the news, talking about how lockdown has affected them and how the next one isn't helpful etc etc Not long after they started getting messages through their Google business listing such as this Quote

Tonge moor green jacket Posted October 16, 2020 Posted October 16, 2020 https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/fifty-eighth-sage-meeting-on-covid-19-21-september-2020 Have a look through this. Also paragraph 5. We've gone for a half way house, which may or may not work. Understandable to protect the economy. This north south bollocks Burnham spouted reminded me of Hatton- wherever it's worse has to have the most severe measures. As whitty commented about tier 3 though; some additional measures would be needed. For me that has to include a travel ban from high incidence areas. That map is showing a gradual move further south, so travel has to be restricted or its all a bit pointless, as we'll be facing a national lockdown. This was evidenced last night by a member of a sub group which feeds into sage- the R value is higher than 1 everywhere in the country, including areas current with low numbers. So its basically a choice; go with a tough tier 3 system round here etc, and place other areas under relevant levels and do this very quickly. Or, face a national one sooner or later. And start twatting those that don't comply. Quote

Sweep Posted October 16, 2020 Posted October 16, 2020 So...Essex has just gone Tier2, and I'm supposed to have a meeting with a customer there next week. I'm travelling from a Tier1 location - under these rules, can I still have a meeting with them in their offices or not? (Our HR department are currently looking into the implications work wise of travelling from one Tier to another, as it's potentially a legal minefield for them as an employer apparently) Quote
