Well at least Zoe Ball is leaving!

Can only listen to radio 2 when she's on the Pat n Mick (which is most of the time)

Actually i haven't listened to R2 for ages apart from the occasional listen at Vernon's 10:30 quiz.

Boom radio all the way but with a bit of Ken at 10;30 still.

Incite civil war?

Was he handing out flyers or trying rally troops?

The blokes a cock, with too much to say on the Internet. Might sound familiar :)

2 years in the nick? No way.

Rioting laws will always be different. Especially when you had people acting on the shite being spread online.

Business were attacked, as were migrant/asylum seeker hotels.

Any government has a duty to protect its citizens by coming down hard on this stuff, has to be a deterrent in place. He’ll be out in under a year.

If it was a Muslim inciting for Churches to be attacked you’d expect the same response. This isn’t just some nobhead saying too much on the internet & it’s good to see it being treated more seriously.

Agreed, I'm not sure a stretch inside, especially as prisons are full is the right course of action. Maybe some community service would have been a better option in this instance. Sadly, all this sentence will do is rile up Tommy Robinson and his collective of racist gammons even more than they already are.

Same could be said for child abusers, yet week in week out we see pathetic sentences handed out.

All sounds marvellous if we had an adequate prison system.

Jail every fucker and dish out proper sentences for everything by all means.

But you can't have nonces walking out of court with community service and then jail some dude for spouting shite online.

A bloke I 'know' was jailed for 9 months on 5/11/24 for attacking the migrant hotel in Hartlepool, he is being released next week on 28/11/24

I'd have a bit of that just for a bit of detox.

Was he remanded in custody pending trial / sentencing?

It was admitted at the time that they would be subject to the same early release.

I understand that an example was to be made of folk, but simply use suspended sentences etc, rather than this.

Bonkers.

Nope, straight from court to jail, he will have served 3 weeks

Seems a bizarre situation (as you point out).

Load of smelly fuckers blocking London up again today.

what was Bolty’s advice when Just Stop Oil do it?

What am I missing here

Why arent these farms set up as a company with a board of directors?

Would that make them open to other taxation?

I expect it would as, like you, I'd have thought that'd be the obvious solution

Would they not be eligible for subsidies if they did?
