Under the pretence of stopping clubs spending more than their turnover they've locked in a massive advantage for the existing big clubs to such an extent that for example Spurs can afford to buy off Newcastle despite having no European football and Newcastle having virtually unlimited funds, but they can't make as much money out of their poorer North eastern fanbase as Spurs can with their London fans. And then academy investment isn't included so those same clubs can stockpile all the talent. Completely broken system

I keep hearing this but I’ve no idea how they benefit from this increased utilisation of the ground etc. They’ve invested in a loss making business. If we use their money to invest in infrastructure that sees in bring in new revenues, then unless it turns us profitable and they can be paid a dividend (it won’t) then they just have a slightly less loss making business that they’ve invested in. They don’t get anything back for us only losing £4m a year instead of £14m. They only way they get cash back is if we turn profitable (impossible without player sales) or we get to the prem and sell the club. No fucker invests in a football club if they’re not interested in the football side of it. It’s the most insane idea I’ve ever heard. There are 1,000 ways to increase your wealth more easily than investing in a loss making championship football club and not caring what happens to the footballing side of things.

I tried to follow Warren's progress at Aldershot last season & though he had a purple patch of goalscoring ,he then seemed to go off the boil & finished the season as a sub for a bottom half National league team. It's hard to see him jumping up to Championship level from there but i'd be very happy to be proved wrong. Inwood on the other hand, was consistently highly rated there all season.

Clubs like us are miles behind not only the established champ clubs but those coming down from the prem with billions. The top teams don’t have to worry about making revenue from ticket sales - we do. We have to to survive. FV have quite rightly prioritised home season ticket fans, offering them with fantastic value. And while Cat A prices look steep, there’s plenty of other games that are less - they have been fairly categorised. As for away fans in the Champ I’m asking this genuinely, is it really that bad along with everyone else? I remember paying £40 about 10 years ago and Preston paid similar last time 10 years ago. What is fair £30? One pint in the ground less. Just seen above average £33 away last year. So it seems about right for a cat A game.

Its not just football though. Concerts, cricket, cinema, restaurants, tennis, family days out at theme parks etc, it all costs multiple times what it used to. I'd say watching Bolton has increased in price less than any of those, I used to pay about the same for S/T 20 years ago as I do now. I've been to Lancs v Yorkshire and the golf open in the last couple of weeks and the two tickets weren't far short of £200.
