We will be in the same manager pool as them, interesting they’ve potted him for doing something our guy can’t do

Oxford not happy with a manager that has them in the championship but close to the relegation zone, while our board are chuffed to bits with Evatt's 50% win record in league one

Oxford United can confirm that Des Buckingham has left his role as Men’s First Team Head Coach.

That’s surprised me.

What are they honestly expecting?

Can you imagine!!!

I do think Wycombe will finish in the play offs. I think we 'might'.

Neither of us will be top 2. Stranger things have happened. But if it did, Evatt might want to look at a witness protection programme 🙂

I agree watched them stuff Stockport 5-0 & they looked like the real deal , quick mobile target man who can hold the ball & score goals .Also grafting midfield with Morley probably their ‘luxury’ player .Solid at the back with the giant loanee Taylor much improved since his time with us .

Injuries would impact them but they seem to find solutions when problems arise.

fwiw I don’t think the current manager will leave them .

I think they will go up .

I thought Taylor was decent with us, but injury put paid to that.

Then again, I rated Ainsworth.

There are a few in the pot to choose from now .....Schumacher, Lowe, Robins, O’Neil, Buckingham, Neil, Wagner, Nolan ?

Any more?

Isn't Neil Harris available ex Millwall? I'd have him.

This run up to Christmas often is a sacking period, so new men get a full window to work with on squad reshaping.

I think it'd take at least defeats on Friday and Boxing Day to get to where Sharon's even having a long hard think about it, unless the shadowy Swiss figures tap her on the shoulder, which I can't really see

I think it maybe depends on the scale of the defeat. If we get trounced 5-0 on Friday as Southampton did today I think the clamour level and pressure to act would be amplified whereas a 1-0 narrow defeat there would in some ways be accepted, them being top and us under strength.

Just seen about Buckingham wtf do Oxford expect instant promotion unbelievable ?
Cheese can you check for grammar seeing as you are the grammar police !!!!

Its a sad fact that there will be some hoping we get a good thumping to take away the doubt.  If Southampton had lost 3-4 today in a great game, Martin would probably still be manager and they'd still have zero chance of survival.  Every Bolton fan knows the only hope of rescuing the season is terrible results and performances in the rest of this month, but wanting us to lose is a complete no-no isn't it?  If only we knew what it would take to get to the sacking stage.

would not want any that have been potted this week-end............Not a one could bring the club forward

What a bloke Gary Oneil is but he needs to prove himself Elsewhere

Des Buckingham, Do me a favour he won a play-off, copying  Maloneys blue print.

Heard some shit and stupid names put forward today like Big Sam back stop it please.

Only four should be in the running  Alex Neil, Schumacher Scubala at Lincoln  and Dave Challinor but the older fan may not welcome him here

Crying out for commas before wtf, and after expect, promotion, Cheese and the first grammar.

Other than that, decent effort other than way too many unnecessary exclamation marks.

Agree with those 4, but strange not to include Robins too.

Agree the Oxford one has done a great job but it would be a risk given he's had about 6 good months and I think I could have set us up to beat us, not like its difficult for any half decent L1 team to know how to beat us, we do half the job for them.

Hope to god no one suggests Martin.. he’s more of a defensive suicide Nazi than Evatt is.

my concern at the minute is that we act too late. Millwall are sniffing around Schumacher. Robins will inevitably get picked up by a club who are more proactive than our board currently are. So we’re left with, well not much..

Yes Robins would be a good choice, but like Challinor a section of the fan base wont take to him
