20 of his controversial media comments. This one was on March 24 when he talked about re-evaluating his position in the summer.

Thanks 👍

Bit sad putting that amount of time and effort into bashing a manager we fired. We all know the reasons and he’s making out like it was shite from the get-go. It certainly wasn’t.

For me the biggest flaw from the Evatt era is still an issue now and it's our inability to make the possession and chances count when we're on top. Then one fuck up at the back and we're losing.

The biggest flaw for me is that it if the opposition manager has done their homework they can set up to completely nullify his side.

Hopefully, for him, he's learned from this and is humble enough to know there are times he needs to adapt and change. If not he'll continue to fail to get promotion to the Championship.

Fingers crossed he'll continue to be the stubborn, arrogant cunt and we get to laugh at the Blackpool fans going apeshit, watching their centre half stood with his foot on the ball.

This could be good for us come January....I can see that he would be interested in taking 3/4 players off our hands.

May have to take a hit, but at least we might let one or two out of those go.

Randal being the stand out

Quote from a poster on their forum.........................If Evo gets the basics right ,plays on the front foot and gets this lazy bunch can only be a improvement. Hopefully  will be the end of the sideways ,backwards  possession nonsense and we see some attacking football......................Obviously he has not seen Evatt since he moved from Blackpool

Interesting thought but Evatt and Randall were at the club together for less than a fortnight so I’d be surprised if he’d be a priority. McAtee maybe?

Evatt got stick but I don't bear any grudges. I would like to think that he has learned a lesson, and his part in his ultimately demise at Bolton. He came in at a very rough time for the club and he, and the board, turned the downward spiral around. Because of his stubbornness it all turned sour for him at the end. Which was a shame.

Evatt pushed hard for Randall in the summer and returned in the January window.....He likes a number 10 or ten

Would not rule out him coming back for at least one of them

Just had a quick listen to his interview. Speaks highly of his time with us, but he's already talking about turning Blackpool into Arsenal. 😄

Yes deluded already.....Set plays are now a big part of anybody gameplan........Sorry Mr Evatt you dont have Gabriel Magalhaes in the centre for you

To be fair, this season has seen a shift in football styles and he’ll look to do whatever is the most fashionable thing to do to get eyes on him.

If Pep & Co are going to be more direct then he’ll probably try to emulate that.

We are, what, 12 miles from Citeh.

We borrowed players from Citeh.

The two managers never met.

Doesn’t mean that he won’t change his ‘philosophy’ to whatever is on-trend in the premier league.

Very true.

Just struck me as odd that, despite being so close & obviously a disciple & loaning a couple... one very successfully ... that they, by his own record a year or so ago, didn't ever meet up.

In truth that's likely to be a Pep thing as Evatt would certainly live to have done.

His comments re the set plays was interesting and in direct contrast to one of his earliest interviews with us. Then, he said something about goals from set plays almost cheating the fans and not being as exciting.

If he's learnt a bit of pragmatism and his ego's been knocked I can see him doing well there.  I'll be bloody fuming if they go up before we do though!

Knob 'ed.

Well it might explain his absolute inability to prepare for them, whether we were attacking or defending.

He'll have a massive number 9 option, physical players all over, and mix up possession football with going long and set pieces. And it will be infuriating as it's exactly what we'd been calling for him to do here.

I really hope he hasn't learnt if I'm honest

As you say, infuriating because he was ingrained in the fad of the time and, as a result, we were pretty useless at attacking or defending set pieces. Looks like he'll ingratiate himself by going with the latest fad and looking like he's always on trend
