Our goal “difference” which is the only one that really matters, isn’t the best in the country and could be worth an extra point at the end of the season. Surely a critique is rather more detailed than picking out all the negatives and ignoring all the positives.

A critique looks at the bigger picture. 

Have a go at looking for positives in a game first. It’ll make for a much more balanced critique.

Agree entirely, we don't have to applaud every player if we win a game.  As you say we still praise individual players when we lose or don't play well as a team, but it doesn't always follow that if we win we can talk about which players were in our opinion bad or indifferent - only good.  And its never ever black and white, its degrees of what we as fans noticed, there's loads I don't notice that others pick up on.  But chatting about it is all part of why we love the game/BWFC surely (as long as its not personal - I cringe when I hear "you absolute wanker" etc at one of our players making an honest mistake - happens every game, embarrassing).

Remember when I was being paranoid about TV companies not giving us the same coverage when we win as other clubs get?

I mentioned the EFL show in an earlier post and FWIW our game got less than 20 seconds - despite us being 2 points behind the leaders with a game in hand

They showed Crocombe saving Vic's effort and the OG - that's it.

Surely the story of the game was about us trying to break them down so you'd expect more than that e.g.  Crocombe's other saves especially the deflected effort that he somehow got to.

I wouldn't mind but there were boring nil all draws and "average" efforts and saves in other games that got more coverage than us.

I think the ITV4 EFL show uses film from SKY and then edits it down.

I'm not overly bothered but when I talk to fans from other clubs - who don't watch us on every available medium as I do - they have a distorted view of our club and our team and that tends to bring out old prejudices even though we are a different club now.

It's a bit like when Allardyce's team was nationally labelled a hoofball team despite the classy players we had then.

If anything it's a minor irritant. As to why they do it, I don't know - maybe the ITV4 editor is from Wigan?

Morleys an amazing player,  dont think he's back to 100% after his head going against Wigan, hopefully he will get back that way as he's got so much potential for us. 

Sheehan has the most assists for us, think its 5/6.. shows the quality across the team as the assists must have come from all over.

It's abysmal anywhere on Middlebrook, nipping in McD's or Costa and getting on their wi-fi helps with the social media stuff but sending a text is nigh on impossible. You are absolutely correct.

Unfortunately though some of your language around certain players is far from sensible. Way over the top which is un called for, even if you don't think a player is having a particularly good game.

We all have views but at times the descriptions used may well have come from a bitter away fan.

Mad how quickly he’s become the one midfielder that is undroppable (in Evatt’s eyes). Evatt mentioned about squad rotation over the Christmas period and especially in the midfield to keep energy up. Sheehan, Dempsey, Morley and Maghoma have all interchanged each game - not GT, he’s played them all and often either not come off at all, or been subbed off late.

He didn’t start the season as a regular starter and now he’s the one constant in midfield. It’s some rise and fair play to him for that progression to be so important to the team.
