Have there been any comments about the ball in this tournament ?  It doesn’t seem to move quite as easily as we are used to.

Actually heard them talking about the opposite on Totally Football, comparing it to that South Africa world cup ball that was like a fly away!

t does make me laugh that one half-decent result out of 3 gets you through in this format

Croatia have been pretty shit but aren't far off going through in 2nd

...which gives Southgate the perfect opportunity to give the likes of Eze, Palmer, Bowen, Watkins, Gordon and Toney the platform to show how a front six should work, Wharton the chance to show why he should be starting alongside Rice and Konsa, Gomez and Dunk to demonstrate the value of a non nonsense, no surrender back 3

Yeh, 4 points enough now.

Need that win though tomorrow and a good one both for confidence/belief and for securing top spot.

Too many to mention but a 3rd place against the likes of Austria/Poland/Slovakia/Czechs in the last 16, then Italy/Switzerland in the quarters gives us a very good chance of a semi. (Oo-er)

After a weekend of writing us off, I’m feeling a little more confident now. You’re only one decent game/result away from the picture turning in tournament football.

so you're saying our bench is stronger than the starting 11?

'Ta-ra-ra-bum-de-ay' all sounds very celebratory. From my point of view, perfectly appropriate. I am glad they are going. No more ginger minge wigs, men in drag and strangling cat sound imitation.

A tune from a significant date in Scottish football history too. Joint champions - Dumbarton and.............

We got beat on penalties in the world cup semi final by the eventual winners.

No, we didn’t do that well.

we ripped the play book up after a couple of games as it was going so well

You’d be fucking fuming if you didn’t get that penalty! Clearly took his back leg out so how VAR has missed it as well as the ref (who’s been brilliant to that point) is crazy. Only thing I can think is that he was offside and VAR knew that so it was irrelevant anyway.

all i saw was the jock tugging the defenders shirt

not sure which was first

I saw the Celt run ahead & then, quite literally, leap to his left so the guy ran into him. Then a judo match broke out.

Brilliantly spotted by the ref, other than he maybe should have booked the guy.

Still, it gives the Jocks another myth to perpetuate for fckg centuries.

I would like that line up too, but in the knockout stages. Seeing as we've qualified I'd like to see a few rested and an experiment with Wharton next to Rice - just in case we need a more robust defence if we need to hang on later in the tournament.

I'm not overjoyed with Trippier either and would like to see a stand-in this game - shame that Konsa who has been magnificent for Villa is so right sided leaving Gomez as the only realistic option.

any change of line up is an experiment to replace the experiment we had with TAA and Foden out of position

personally I'd like to get going with our strongest possible line up asap, get that top spot and go into the next round with some momentum
