TroySwoosh Posted January 11, 2025 Posted January 11, 2025 I'm happy he's called them out, every one of them was shit today. Randall gets a pass as he only came in on Thursday, give him a chance before you write him off FFS Morley must wake up every morning hoping wycombe have made a bid Tomo needs a few weeks off, all huff and no puff (apart from the obligatory yellow) Dion must be wondering what he's done wrong (or has he done summat wrong?) He should be starting every game Johnston's gone from championship quality to league 2 Forrester needs to go back to the bench (he gets better the less he plays) Collins doesn't seem arsed half the time If we didn't have Santos we'd be looking over our shoulders at a relegation battle Matete has his best game then gets dropped for the next 2!! Evatt needs to go Megson out Quote
Popular Post burnden Posted January 11, 2025 Popular Post Posted January 11, 2025 Just seen this comment on twatter that i agree with... After the play off Final surrender he talked about mental fragility and said he needed to sort it. Nine signings & 24 games later he reiterates his criticism. Condemned out of his own mouth. The recruitment at our club is mind numbingly poor & that's surely on Evatt & Markham. Quote
FrancisFogarty Posted January 11, 2025 Posted January 11, 2025 A new manager needed to start with the basics. Square pegs for square holes, fuck the 70th minute LfL subs off, fuck anybody off who isn't prepared to go for 90 odd minutes. Get a settled forward line, four at the back (where needed) and get the ball up the pitch early on. Quote

He's going down swinging, they deserve to hear a few home truths if anything else. ...but once you start doing that, its over. And yes, he signed them, it's all on his watch. He's ultimately to blame. But we all know our players could be doing better than they are. Bunch of overpaid shithouses. Thing is though mate, he's said this type of thing before. And not really got a reaction. Which game was it Johnston came out fronting up and taking collective responsibility? Was it Stockport? Wigan? They're all just blending into one for me now! 😁 Quote

Don't get me wrong - I think Evatt is ultimately responsible, but the players don't seem to have a backbone between them. They all seem a bit thick to be brutally honest. And again, that's down to Evatt's recruitment. I'm sure some of them actually think they are too good for this League. I can't remember a Bolton team lacking so much in physicality, character and pace. The way our players either turned their backs in a challenge or would flick the ball to no one instead of engaging the other player was unbelievable. He's distancing himself from them now but the team is a reflection of him, he's sounding more and more deluded after every game. Quote
tomski Posted January 11, 2025 Posted January 11, 2025 He won’t go. They’ll regroup and have an honest chat. Will try harder yada yada. Evatt out Quote
tomski Posted January 11, 2025 Posted January 11, 2025 The players clearly think he’s a knob. I do, so it’s hard to argue Quote

Whitestar Posted January 11, 2025 Posted January 11, 2025 If Wycombe wanderers offer anything, snatch their hands off, if any offers come in for any of our players I'd be very surprised and again would snatch their hands off. We need to fully start with a clean slate, i assume we can stay up???? Quote

Every time we got the ball we were only 30 yards from their goal" It's depressing the amount of teams we give an easy ride to. Today, Huddersfield and Wigan certainly spring to mind this year. Always pissed off to lose but never really being in with a chance in games is just embarrassing. Quote

Of course players can do better, but when it's en masse then there is clearly an issue between the manager/coaching staff and players. Does he ever say he should do better? Never seems to be on him. They may as well be wearing ear defenders. Quote

That’s what evatt is getting at Well I know I'm repeating myself but Matete tries his tripe out every minute of every game. But not good enough for IE, he's brought in 2 new players (if we count Morley as new) to replace him, and he won't drop Tomo. So which bit of "they are your players" does he not understand? I just don't see the lack of effort from Schon, Forrester, Tomo, Johnston or Santos, we would have lost by more if the defenders had downed tools. Williams always looks like he's not trying - but IE picks him out of position in front of 2 right backs that are on the bench, therefore he rates him highly. We have no leaders and no natural fighters (that he picks) but that's 100% down to him, not the players, they have their DNA and they had it before we signed them - its not going to change. Quote

only1swanny Posted January 11, 2025 Posted January 11, 2025 Just got back, great day out with some great fans, kids loved it and despite the frozen floor and drips, was a nice stadium. Nice day out ruined by 13 players who couldn't give a shit and got basic school boy stuff wrong. How many passes to them, how many clearances straight back to them, i reckon they don't practice 11 on 11 in training. Massive well done to the fans today 2000 of them sitting through that, it might not have come off on telly but the most entertaining part was the stewards trying to move some Rotherham fans away from the segregation net. Our back lines broken, the wingbacks don't offer much for 90% of the game aside for allowing a sideways pass.. and someone needs to grab Santos and yell at him to stop taking goal kicks to pass back to the keeper! Had to pull into the services as my wiper blades had frozen! That's how cold it was! Quote

Proper gutting me this. Enjoyed last season like no other in a while until the very end. Thought we might not challenge as well as some expected but I'm truly shocked by how quickly things have got so shit. And the amount of money we've spent to get here 😳. Said it before the season we should've gone another direction. And definitely after Huddersfield when he said he didn't have any answers. Literally what he's paid for. It's only football but christ it makes you feel shit at times. Quote

RONNIE PHILLIPS Posted January 11, 2025 Posted January 11, 2025 I think his rant calling the players out en masses should be the end as it is obvious he will now have lost the dressing room. No point in giving him time and money to replace them as he is the one who bought this pile of shit. And while we are on it.... The players should now be allowed to call him out in public for his pathetic performances. Quote
