So you think I'm wrong ?

No. I think results have to improve and SS has every opportunity to improve them / no excuses left other than the work in progress thing and that will only last so long - and if results don’t improve we’re stuck with it so I really hope and pray they do.

We aren't worse, we've lost once and have dominated nearly every game. Some wrinkles still need ironing out but we are heading in the right direction.

I’d like to think so too but the table doesn’t lie unfortunately and neither does 4 wins in 20. We look impressive and have all the good looking moves but…

1 defeat in the last 12 competitive matches isn't bad though

True - that’s why we can hope that we’re heading in the right direction but promotion is decided by league points and we need wins where it matters, hopefully starting tomorrow.

Im sorry this whole debate about us needing wins has resurfaced, especially on the eve of this match, but someone else brought it up and so I’m going to leave it until we have a definitive answer as I’ve no idea ATM whether or not SS will come through for us.

While nobody is calling for anyones heads and it'd be insane to do so right now. If we don't start getting some results then surely the very first wiff some pressure must start to be applied.

For me the defence and midfield are working, we're defending well, the ball is going from/ through midfield and is being recycled into the forwards.

It's just the final 3rd where things just aren't clicking. Potential real opportunities are being stuff out in what seemingly seems to be an attempt to score wonder goals almost non stop.

While it goes down on paper as a shot and looks good stats wise, it's proability of going in or even beating the first man is very low and ultimately the real opportunity to score is snuffed out. It's a Statistical Mirage, like Evatt's possession stats.

I'm worried the only time it looks like it clicks is when we're against 10 men or less.

I really want SS to fix this but i'm not sure he sees the problem and if we don't fix it soon we're looking at mid table if we're lucky.

You've made some reasonable points, but bookended them by saying it'd be insane to call for anyone's head, whilst then saying pressure must start to be applied if we don't get a result and you're not sure SS can see the problem. It does sound a little inconsistent.

Anyway, if he does go and you can see the problem he doesn't, the job will be there for you to take.

Zog 1's super white army.

If we're stuck around 10th come January i think questions have to start being asked, this is the sort of thing that slowly ramps up over time, When i say the start of pressure it's like 0.01%, if you had to give it a measure.

Out of curiosity i had a look via highlights how his team set up under Plymouth, Stoke and us, the difference is quite profound.

Key difference seems to be lots of play right in that centre attacking midfield area, where balls are passed through to the stikers in on goal or out to the wingers, who then cross, pass or shoot.

Our play seems to be for the ball to go direct to the wingers, This isn't working, and it never will, reliably.

Yes.   15 of them have got their new Lonsdale and slazenger vests ready to take the town hall steps singing 'bolton get battered '   .    Again they are gonna claim this as a result.

It's like fat Frank's crew turning up at leigh library and claiming the same

4 straight top 8 finishes which he singularly failed to mention, presumably because they don't fit in with his blinkered view of the world when buttering up opponents forums.

Europe discussed as though we had similar experiences and outcomes which is ridiculous.

Poor show yet again.

No scoreline predictions from me. I am sure many will predict 1-1 given our recent form.

I will however observe that we have not had a penalty in the league as yet and we have not scored a very early goal.

Wouldn't mind betting Wigan will attempt to boot ACD and Gale all over the park tomorrow.

We need a decent Ref.

COYFWM.

Not really. Draw every game and you'll go undefeated but might get relegated too.

1 defeat in 10 in the league, but at a PPG of 1.3. I'd say that is 'bad'.

My point was you can easily cherry-pick statistics to suit your narrative

Any stats on ratio of right to wrong decisions? 😀
