CumbrianWhite Posted March 7 Posted March 7 Wow, incredible turnaround. Can’t beat shutting your own whiny fans up, we seem to have gathered a lot who can’t wait to see us do badly just so they can moan. I’d love to see blacket Taylor on the left and Burstow on the right for the foreseeable. Taylor sending crosses into Dalby and Burstow could be really fruitful. Quote

Popular Post Eddie Posted March 7 Popular Post Posted March 7 (edited) The Mrs has zero interest in football, hates it, but then once every 2-3 years she decides she’ll come to the game with me when the other ticket is spare, bit of people watching and an afternoon off parenting - today was that day. At half time she asked if we could leave at 85 if it was still 2-0, I stupidly agreed (should have said 90 - she’s now claiming she had no idea there is injury time, she thought there was only 5 mins left). 85 comes up, I begrudgingly leave but can’t see how we’d get back into it anyway seeing as we’d been shit for the whole game (and the other late goals are usually when we’ve been good). Heard the first as I got in the car, second as we were going round the roundabout and then saw we’d got the 3rd as we got on the motorway. Tense drive home - the conflict in emotions between the high of winning and the low of missing it was mad. I blame @caffers for the ticket going spare. Main thing is we got the 3 points, kept the run going, closed the gap and once again showed this side is never beaten. The first half was as bad as we’ve played this season but let’s ignore that. Drove past forensics walking the M6 northbound a few minutes later after what I’m assuming is a shocker of an accident - motorway closed all day. Put it in perspective about missing a few goals at the match. Wife’s ruled herself out of ever coming again. Up the whites. Edited March 7 by Eddie Quote
Popular Post desperado Posted March 7 Popular Post Posted March 7 I’ll read back to page 5 next. But before I read anything. That is Bolton Wanderers!!! Fucking brilliant!! 👏👏 We should also learn that keep the same side, bingo selections, why doesn’t SS do this/that is a dangerous game. But more importantly that BWFC never know when they are beaten. And finally if catching a side we’re 8 points behind with a game in hand is unlikely, fantasy stuff. Then what about being -0-2 down on 88 mins and winning 3-2!! 👏👏 Quote

ianofcleveleys Posted March 7 Posted March 7 Needed the hour's trip back home to make sense of all that, incredible. Another of those 'shithousing bites you on the arse' days. However off it we might be we do have some game changers and they stepped up today. Was right behind CBT when he shaped to hit it, magnificent goal. Rodriguez looked really decent. Quote

Correct decision for me I was pretty much in line in West Upper, appeared to be clear daylight between ball and line. No fan at all of VAR and dont want it but goal line tech ought to be possible through the 4 divisions by now Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted March 7 Posted March 7 Look again at the winner. When cbt drops the defender on his arse, keep your eyes on the defender. He's absolutely shot. The view from behind the goal shows it, together with the body language from the defender on the other side (left). Out on their feet. Quote

I’ll get back to page 5 in a minute and catch Up…. But that’s a shit angle. I’m level with that in ESL and unless my eyes are deceiving me, it’s well over. Quote
MancWanderer Posted March 7 Posted March 7 Christ. This team certainly makes sure that you shouldn’t leave before the whistle if you don’t have to Quote

Winchester White Posted March 7 Posted March 7 When Rodriguez came on he was biz at first then found his composure, hopefully he will settle nicely into the team Quote

FrancisFogarty Posted March 7 Posted March 7 We really need to start using the first 80 minutes. We really do. Quote
