Plymouth 10 behind with 4 left

And Luton could get in playoffs and get more points but can't see us not getting 3 more points at home and we play Luton

Just back thought the quickness of the passing was the difference not seen that for a long time and the obvious return of dubbery . Just wanted something to drop to apter to get him going may be it will happen Saturday

Outstanding, that. Hoped we’d play with positivity and intent and got that in absolute spades.

Chuffed with how clinical we were, and finally having decent, early attempts instead of forever trying to find that final ball.

Showed loads of variety which took the pressure off Dalby and Duberry respectively as our usual main outlets and much the better for it.

Credit where it’s due for Gale, I thought he worked really hard and looked a genuine threat whenever he remembered to take the ball with him when coming forward! He’s been one of the ones to have sarcastic cheers when subbed in the past, so I hope he understood the significance of a standing ovation tonight.

Genuinely think there’s a player in Apter but probably not a winger. Reached the stage now where he’s really trying too hard, and it just gets exaggerated every time something doesn’t come off.

Conway certainly did well in midfield and is an interesting option, though only in the right circumstances.

Not one for superstition but, after the Oxford 5-0 the other year, I really hope we avoid Stevenage in the play offs!

I would say last year we only really had one wild card gamechanger and they nobbled him in the first couple of minutes.........obviously ACD is our main man but we have other potential match winners too this time.

Pre-game I saw this and thought the post had some merit, it did/does make sense.

But it’s one of those occasions where you have to give the manager credit and admit he sees and knows things we don’t.

Great win.

Another Fantastic response after a defeat. No issues with attitude or effort.

Box seat again for 3rd place.

Yes i think it paid off because we simply replaced quality with average tonight. TuTu clearly thrives when ACD plays as did Gale who had more time on the ball due to ACD targeted. Kenny stretched Stevenage and they could not cope with him, but it was Rodrigues who was the stand out player alongside ACD. Thought Johnston did ok at full back and cut all that tippy tappy out....Toal lacked conviction as did Firino unusually. A point at home Saturday should just about do it but lets end any chance Huddersfield have got of reaching the play-offs then wrap ACD in cotton wool until the play-offs

Well done SS tonight

Not worried, play like tonight and Bradford won’t live with us. There’s just that feeling now that with Kenny, ACD and RR finally coming fit we’re just a different outfit in time for the play offs.

What a difference three days makes.

Football, bloody hell!

Expected drudgery, got destruction

Simple game when we start fast and score first.

They've only one plan, was out the window after half an hour

ACD and Kenny in the same side are our route to glory. If we win Saturday slippers on for those two till first leg. Don't want them nobbling in two dead rubbers

Forino doesn't suit LCB but he can do it, Toal there would be suicide. So I guess if we do stick to a back 4 then GJ at LB is the best option we have.

Great to see movement and pace tonight, it really makes a difference.

Play it quicker and the goals come. Who knew!?

Anyway, pleased for Gale, he played well tonight and needed it.

Football's a simple game vastly overcomplicated these days. The team talk could have been four words, start fast, score first.

We did, whole different night than might have been expected

Gale's best game for us, turned his threat into much more end product

Kenny might be worth £1m after all?

He'll be worth more than that by the end of this season. He's got some assets that lad. We'd need to go up to be seeing him again.

A big night for 3 players who have come under criticism recently; Sheehan, Johnston and Gale.

I would love the same side to come out play, perform and contribute in a similar way to another win on Saturday.

Maybe we could then address this inconsistency tag we’ve displayed too much this season.

They have to take confidence from that today.

😂 just about to say. Even in this game, Apter manages to make himself look shit.

Shame because if he could bag a goal then he might find some confidence

You just know he's pinging in the winner at Wembley in the 95th minute

They all played a part tonight and will do in the play offs.

But we HAVE to keep Duberry, Rodrigues & Kenny all fit and firing for them. Them 3 are all undoubtedly a class above and players that would walk into any of our play off rivals squads.

It was so long overdue to have a relaxing game for once, it's certainly been a while 😅

Just fear that we don't have a repeat of the Oxford fiasco after we battered them. Might not be the last time we see Stevenage this season but no reason not to be confident after that.

If we remain confident we will get promoted, I genuinely believe that.

I'll say it now so he has time to make me appear a fool but ... what is the point of Apter ?

At the risk of joining you in the fool camp, none fucking whatsoever.

The point of Apter is to keep ACD out of the firing line so that he only plays between now and the play offs when he has to.

This

Came out of the blocks so quick we looked miles away from the usual trying to peg back an early goal

Sending off possibly flattered us but we were a lot better than them

What was the panic ?

We are 3 points of guaranteeing the play offs , and thats if everyone around us win every game .

Kenny lookes great value for the million that was asked , unfortunately the price in the Summer will be 2-3 million .

Id be more than happy with a front line of Dalby , Burstow & Kenny with Forss if he can stay fit , and if we can afford them .

RR was brought in to be that fabled link man between the midfield and the front 2 . ACD will come back for another season.

I still think 3 at the back is the way to go as a back 4 with Conway & desmond is like playing with a back 2 .

Back to tonight  Tutu was MOM , Sheehan played really well , as did all the goal; scorers and Gale .

Dont get the hate for GJ but the defence will need improvement next season if we are stuck playing a defencive 4 .

Very Happy , beer is flowing too well , but dont have enough to get shitfaced . Bollocks.

The lad who got sent off had absolutely stuck a bet on himself or has a holiday booked. Could have easily picked up two bookings prior to that, and then comes up with that piece of fuckwittery.

Also, another huge positive. Rotherham United are officially relegated to League 2 and we will not play them next season regardless of what happens.

This is the best news I've heard this season so far.

I hate that club.
