tylswhite Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Reminds me a lot of the end of last season these last few weeks. Hope next season starts as well as this is ending this time rather than cocking about again. I am impressed with Dougie actually giving youth a chance as he didnt have to. I know we havent got anything to play for but he could have just coasted to the end of the season. Im just praying for a solid start next season, if we can manage that we wont be far off imo. Quote
Seabiscuit Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Quite like Birmingham dislike starjumper Robinson more send them down.I think they'll beat Wigan to survive though Quote
Leyther_Matt Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Wednesday were bobbins but if I were Kellett I'd have been bawling my eyes out at the end, proud as fuck. Good away day. Quote
paulhanley Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Great win Great following They were awful at the back; not convinced Beckford was offside as much as was flagged 1st half the difference was playing with 1 up front with the striker playing facing their goal. If Beckoford's head linked to his feet he would be top class Trotter's was there to be hit but fair play to him he struck it beautifully. 1st half, him, Chungy and Hall all linked up with Beckford very well Great to see Kellett get plaudits from the crowd, I feel Threlkeld deserved the same though, had a very solid game Well done Dougie, mrs Freedman and the players Great final away day That's why we do this Glad to hear Threlkeld did well. If we can get two or three of these lads up to standard next season it'll help a lot - especially given the full back problems we've had all this season. Quote
ianofcleveleys Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 (edited) Another good away day in Yorkshire to end the season. Lots of positives, great for Threlkeld and Kellett, both did very well. Solid defending from the rest of the back four too, it's gone a bit unnoticed over these past few weeks but we have been pretty steady, particularly away. Trotter's goal was an absolute purler, aside from that he had another decent game, looks much happier where he's been played last few games If we're going to build on this solid finish from the off next season though, DF's going to have to use whatever his budget is on somebody who can finish. Sheff Wed's defence was shocking and we should have had six, just as we could have at least drawn with Leicester with better finishing and would have buried Donny alive with a bit of composure in front of goal. Beckford was crap, even if the linesman might have got an odd one of the offsides wrong, there was not excuse for him being off at least five times first half, especially when he had the pace to give their two centre back carthorses a yard every time. When he wasn't offside he gave the ball away and contributed little, again. Having had a little moan, it was a great day out, a good performance and a good win, in front of another brilliant turnout Edited April 26, 2014 by ianofrochdale Quote

Was very impressed with the 2 kids, Oscar grew into his role as the game went on. FWIW, I hope Brum stay up even if it means beating us. Got a lot of Brum mates and going to Vegas (thinly veiled) with one on Wednesday Quote
marple whites Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Away days are great, very pleased for Oscar and Kellet. Let's be honest, they were poor and we should have buried em big style. Great turn out, great day., if carlsberg made days out............... Quote
Leyther_Matt Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 tidy mob of Leeds in the howard - had an eventful dayMuch bigger threat was the goth bird with massive tits who was trying to kick off outside because of an inappropriate comment by a Bolton lad who was literally about 12. Love it. Quote

Traf Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Lost at Boro 1. I'm not having Boro as Yorkshire and neither would they. 2. Including Boro, 5 wins from 6 = 115pts in a season. Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Really good day out, solid performance and ripped them apart on many occasions could of been 6-7 steady from Threlkeld but a great cameo from Kellet could be the new David Lee. Quote
waffer cup 07 Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Great win, top support again, think we've got a new right back that can actually defend. Quote
matty2094 Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Great win, top support again, think we've got a new right back that can actually defend. Especially when Chungy was losing possession every few minutes second half. Didn't catch it too well but was he lucky to stay on the pitch? People around us saying could've been a straight red. Great full debut anyway Quote

Marc505 Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Shit me, great away day. Culminating in a black cab full of Wanderers shouting 10 German bombers out of the windows all round Manchester and Walking Down The Manny Road at a load of bemused United outside Urbis. I fucking love this club. Quote
