Shit result.Bolton's route to promotion has got a whole lot more difficult.It takes some of the excitement/tension out of tonights match for me because it was looking like tonight was the promotion decider. Winning at Barnsley is now the easy bit

I couldn't bear 10 days of our fans treating Peterborough as a walkover. I'll take being the underdog at a place where we beat the league champions 4-0.

I must admit I've gone from thinking that the winners tonight are saying "oh no we're playing the 3rd best team in the league instead of the 6th best" to relishing the underdog mentality.  As said above the thought of our fans turning up thinking we'd routinely beat Posh was a disappointment waiting to happen, now I would feel like we've got everything to gain and nothing to lose, relatively.

The group of AZ fans tore down a gate and tried to attack the families of the players in that section. The big fella and a couple of others stopped them.

Apparently, even West Ham players had to come over and ended up embroiled as Police etc were reluctant to get involved.

Soft cunts didn't bother having a go at the away end, just went for families.

Not sure that the 'ultras' - bit laughable that term by the way, especially in this instance, where they just looked like yoof - actually tried that hard to attack the families.  Surely if they'd really wanted to attack them then one big bloke isn't going to stop them.

Anyway, regardless, Alkmaar they need a severe punishment for that.

Some folk tell me that angling can be a difficult pastime. Not if you know your prey and the correct bait to use 

As usual, the numpties filter out the fact that I stated that I hope and expect City and West Ham to win two of them. Spain may well lift the other and leave the eye ties with none. Could all go the other way though.

Changes nothing. Italy remains the only country which could lift all three this season. Simply a statement of fact but it seems to have the effect of chucking iron filings into some gussets around here .

You miss the tactical advantage the big bloke and his mate had. Humans found out in prehistoric times that it can be fairly easy to defend if you hold the higher ground.
