Didledee Posted December 16, 2014 Author Posted December 16, 2014 Hit the post twice here at the Reebok, Jussi reaction save. Quote
gonzo Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 I don't know anybody who heard those chants, the reception he got when he came on was incredible for someone who no connections to the club. I always thought the racist chants was actually our fans shouting 'Feessh' at mark fish and some of the press got it wrong? Oh and Gullit ran the show in our 2-1 win at Burnden when Curic scored. DazBob Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 Unlike Freddie Fooking Ljungberg Aye, one of those who seemed to revel playing here, juust like Tim Cahill. Quote

Con Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 Aye, one of those who seemed to revel playing here, juust like Tim Cahill. Aye add Wayne fucking Rooney to that list of cunts! Quote
superjohnmcginlay Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 Aye that was in front of a bumper crowd of 3k according to this website http://www.11v11.com/matches/bolton-wanderers-v-brescia-09-november-1993-291223/ Quote
pato Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 Bierhoff was playing for them wasn't he? Quote
superjohnmcginlay Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 Bierhoff was playing for them wasn't he? According to wiki Bierhoff played for Ascoli, who we also drew with Wasnt Colina the referee for the Brescia game? Quote
Sweep Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 Dean Spink Deans or somebody else's? Both Quote
pato Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 I remember that team doing Ancona 5-0 at Burnden the same year Ancona got to the Italian cup final Quote
Biggish Dave Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 Collina was definitely ref at 1 of the Anglo-Italian games, I think it probably was Brescia because I remember the ref giving us a dodgy late penalty in the Ancona game, Collina wouldn't have given it us Quote
gonzo Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 Alan Shearer is up there. Jules Darby just jogged my memory as he's having dinner at his house as we speak. Quote
Whites man Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 Best season in, season out was Stephen Gerrard. Quote
Marc505 Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 Shearer is my all time favourite player, despite some of his twattish antics against us among others. Used to absolutely idolise him Quote
gonzo Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 Best season in, season out was Stephen Gerrard. I'd go with that. Quote
Alf Hartigan Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 Ryan Giggs has ripped us a new arsehole more than any player I can remember. Although, I'd go along with Gerrard as the best player I've seen live. Quote
QFPants Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 Ryan Giggs has ripped us a new arsehole more than any player I can remember. Although, I'd go along with Gerrard as the best player I've seen live. Nicky Southall right back vs Giggs ???? Quote
Mike Hunt Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 Can't believe Wayne Jacobs hasn't got a mention so far ???? Loved watching Terry Henry, with a lasting memory of him taking a free kick into our wall and then stopping our break by winning it back at left back. Gerrard for consistency, single handedly beat us more than once Quote
L/H White Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 Henry is without a doubt the best player to grace the premier league It used to be a joy to watch him Quote
kent_white Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 Henry got a good reception when he made his return debut in the League at his second spell at Arsenal. Ran up and down the touchline clapping back at the Wanderers fans who were applauding him. Not many times I've seen that much respect given to an opposition player at Bolton. Class act. Quote
Anderson Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 I've always thought of Drogba when asked who's the best opposition player I've seen live, Gerrard up there as well though. More annoyingly that little fat cunt at Forest always tears us a new one. Quote
Ghana White Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 No where near the best players but two very good performances were robbie keane for wolves in the cup beat us 2 1 virtually single handed and joey Barton for I think it was city beat us one nil. Gullit at burnden was incredible. I just remember his first touch could beat two players. My only night on the manny road terrace that one. Quote
Ghana White Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 Oh yeah ribery at munich. Even through the drunken haze he looked like the best kid at school playing football with kids from the year below. Thank god they took him off. Quote
Farrelli Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 Kenny Dalglish in his prime late 70's at Burnden. Quote
