Next game I'd go with one from Vela or Trotter to sit in front of the back 4 with Spearing then play the three new lads Anderson, Henry & Ameobi behind Proctor up top

I'm glad you're not picking the team

First of all, Kens lad plays up front or not at all

As an owd bastard, I'd be playing 442 in this league with Henry wide right

Apparently Ameobi struggles to do 90 and probably favours wide right

If it was me team would be as today but with trotter pushed central, vela pushed into the reserves and prob Taylor A wide left

Seems like Brownie's so called love of our club is well and truly over listening to his interview here and hes also clutching at straws at how he goes about his interview about the antics in the technical areas etc, taking the interviewer away from the display.

If someone had offered us 4 wins and 2 draws in our first 6 before the season started, we'd have snatched their hands off.

Beat MK Dons next week and the optimism will go beyond cautious.

Buxton had his man (or at least a man) and had him blocked off from getting to the ball. their lad had about 10yds free

who ever was supposed to have their goal scorer will have got a right rollocking

Vela's man I believe , but would have to see it again to be sure

Go on then, who would you go with?

Prctor for Madine is fair enough IMO

As is Ameobi for Trotter or Vela

Hardly a wholesale change from today

Yesterday Trotter just looked lost, he just didn't seem to know what his job was

That's only 1 off what I had it at, I wasn't aware Ameobi doesn't play 90 minutes, he's in his early 20's isn't he?

Other than that I thought Anderson looked good up top but equally lively when he dropped a little deeper late on

625 official figure very very good for s team out of form and 250 less what we took to Charlton last week

653.

Not far out anyway.

There's some on here a lot further out with their team formations and general attitude.

Why do people respond to arrogance?

I was happy enough with yesterday's team but thought Vela might have moved inside with Henry wide right.

I also can't be doing with Moxey so would play Taylor there. One thing we do need to do though is start quicker at home. That's all 3 games we've been very sloppy in the opening 20 mins

No room for reasoned debate on here my friend.

Phil Brown just sounds bitter as fuck. His allusion that we have a financial advantage over Southend is borderline certifiable.

And to top it off with a gripe that his interview area was colder than PP's, well, what a fucking 'tard

Bitter is an understatement, opening line" I didn't come here to entertain this mob I wanted to knock them off their pedestal " this reeks of a bloke saying fuck you for not giving me the gig, we dodged a fucking huge bullet by not giving it to him.

Yep

He comes across as a right cock

Especially given with the gamesmanship by them that he'd clearly instructed.

He reckons everything went our way? Is he forgetting the 5 penalty shouts? (Not that I believe they were all pens)

I wonder whether whatever stopped him getting the job here has created an issue between him and the club?

Anyway, fuck him. Yesterday's man

Not just instructed he was taking part in it and he ended up sat near sweaty ken.

He came across like the kid who hadn't got their own way so was going to spoil it for everyone else.

But it got them a point and at the end of the day that's what he wanted, and also keeps him in a job ( for while longer)

Said similar to my dad at the time.

The keeper and defender taking a booking for time wasting in exchange for an away point would be something from the allardyce era bolton.

This, with dangle cocks and ribbons. I had no expectation at all pre-season, and still don't know what to expect from the opposition each week (hence, my "take a draw" stance).

My lad turned round to me yesterday and said, that the best football we have played in years. He was right.

No complaints from me. Can only see us getting better.

Buxton is a bit like marmite

Posted

Vela wasn't switched on and let their lad run unnoticed into the freedom of that side of the box.

Give over. The problems start with Beevers defending right up against the touchline. Both centre halves finish up in poor positions effectively doing nothing, leaving Buxton with his hands full when Trotter switches off to allow the ball in.

At risk of setting myself up for a cheap retort, Vela's presence is incidental.
