Randall was a panic buy for a struggling evatt spunking what money we had left when we already had several players for that position and he is another light weight player to add to the bunch when we needed a ball winner that’s why a lot of people think we payed to much it was a nonsense buy Edited June 29, 2025 by Farnywhite Quote

Would've been worth the investment had he done that. In the end it didn't work out and it's money wasted. Same with Zog's list on the previous page, players we've invested in who didn't work out. Sordell especially was a signing who I was excited about having watched him play for England U21s and scored a worldy. Quote

Astonished. He was parked & mostly unplaced, shite when he did. We bought him coz we wouldn't stump up the asking price for Wilfred Zaha. Not THAT would have been a buy. Quote

Looking back there are so many of them, Big Sam really wanted Eto, and even the ones we did sign were totally played out of position and all sorts. Rodrigo Moreno, Blerim Džemaili, and Marcos Alonso are the 3 from that time period that really hurt. Quote
Wanderlust Posted June 29, 2025 Posted June 29, 2025 (edited) Ceesay (CM) is a Wanderer according to my ITK source (Wikipedia) 😂 There is so much talk about who rates who and the silly money being asked for players but it’s no shock to realise that prices have risen, especially for younger prospects like NMai and Kenny but sadly it’s the market we are in these days and I think it’s no bad thing that we’re looking into players that Schuey thinks he can develop and have longevity in them. Need to trust the process. Again. Edited June 29, 2025 by Wanderlust Quote

Along with getting rid of Ludonautics and maybe most of the current b team Maybe the fact that they rate players like Dalby, Simonds etc and have handed them long term contracts which mean if they come good in the next two seasons and clubs come calling we have them under contract. The lads from Salford and Celtic are two more that fit that type of player.......I dont see Schumacher building a team for next season.....This could be a two/three year project If we're still in L1 in two years time Schumacher won't be here. And neither will Fergal most likely. Quote
Whitesince63 Posted June 30, 2025 Posted June 30, 2025 Will Collar left Stock[ort to go to MK Dons, another who’s decided to drop down a division so they must be offering impressive terms and ambitions. Decent player Collar, 28, scores a few from midfield and County will miss him. That’s a couple of important players they’ve lost with the big lad who went to Huddersfield. Quote
Ani Posted June 30, 2025 Posted June 30, 2025 Ss said we needed some younger players and some experience. We all would like more players in quickly but paying over the top or bringing in the wrong players is no solution. Quote
waffer cup 07 Posted June 30, 2025 Posted June 30, 2025 We had one of the strongest squads last year, but in the end lost our way. With a few additions of stronger players i fully exspect us to be up there challenging. Quote
Whitesince63 Posted June 30, 2025 Posted June 30, 2025 Would we take a chance on Brandon Williams for Left Back? I know he was an idiot but maybe he’s learned his lesson and could be a decent risk? Only 24 and hopefully older and wiser but clearly a quality player. Quote

Interesting shout because he is indeed a quality Championship/ lower prem player - but a dickhead. All depends on where his head is at now he’s escaped a jail sentence by the skin of her teeth. Says he needs a break from the game though. Could be a good asset if he grows up. Quote

The squad was the same size as everyone else’s 22 registered players and 2 out on loan we only used addition players that don’t count the under 21 s when we had injuries nearer the end of the season bar the odd game . No different to anyone else we had a unbalanced squad and a expensive squad compared to most we actually had a squad place left over in Jan that we never filled Edited June 30, 2025 by Farnywhite Quote

If he wants to be part of us 'kicking on' he needs results quickly. And I'm sure he knows that. He certainly doesn't have the luxury of worrying about a three year plan unless it involves us getting out of L1 very soon. Quote
