Its not like the manager hasn't tried him in every other roll bar centre back to make it work for him. If he can only play on the wing and more importantly only wants to play on the wing then its probably best he has a bash somewhere else and we find a better link up man for Charles/another. If hes fell out with Evatt then theres only result. Hes out. Just like Sarcavic. Sometimes stuff just doesnt work out no matter how much you think it can. onefinfrandsen Posted January 7, 2023 Share Posted January 7, 2023 I like dapo but it’s clearly not worked out for him on the whole this season, rumours of his head being turned before the season started, what ever the reason it’s been like playing with ten men on occasions and maybe no coincidence that we have arguably put in our best displays of the season over the last two games. Deanu Posted January 7, 2023 Share Posted January 7, 2023 Love Dapo, he's our most dangerous player but we probably should've cashed in on him before the season started whilst his stock was very high. Like some have said if you can get decent money for him then put it into bringing two or three real good players that upgrade the XI for the tactic we're all in on then it'd probably benefit us. There's no chance in hell he should be playing wing back like that experiment last month, when he plays the Lee role behind the front two it leaves us more vulnerable in midfield & with two strikers supposedly coming in there's going to be loads fighting it out for two spots up top. If we were getting the best out of him And he was on a dozen goals and half a Dozen assists then there would be more resistance but Evatt isn’t for budging on his formation and it clearly doesn’t work for Dapo. £2m for a player whose nearly 25 and had one good season in L1? He was ultimately one of the successful 4th Division lads who doesn't have the abilities needed to step up to Div 3 promotion winning standard.
