Guest
Really? Most odd! Anyway, the week after is Indonesia. Belting! No, only joking Indonesia; some great diving, inc Komodo, but I'd be a bit wary of the dragons
C86
Stumbled across Gran Canaria flights for £65 return, going this Monday. Mrs can't go though, has an appointment on Wednesday! FFS! Contemplating a long weekend in Malaga instead now. Any recommendations? I can vouch for Costa Rica. Superb place! Did a coast-to-coast trip with everything in-between. Our flights outbound went via San Juan on Puerto Rico - dropped off a load of cruise folk and then continued. We got 3/4 of the plane to ourselves. Malaga is ace, been twice in last 4 months and going in May, but you need to stay to the east of the (dry) river. Get the train from the ariport into the city centre. We usually stay near Plaza de la Merced, loads of bars and no mither. Nice portside/marina with bars and restaurants. Malaga are at home and is worth going, especially the tapas bar across the road from the stadium beforehand. Pm me if you need owt
no balls
No, only joking Indonesia; some great diving, inc Komodo, but I'd be a bit wary of the dragons There's always a tokay wants to share my room. I only found out during my last stay they have got a fair bite on them. I hate reptiles.

Smiley
On The Beach. Used these years ago. Still legit? Found flights through them to Tenerife with Monarch for £60 return. On Monarch's own site the exact same flights are £177 return. Have they bought seats in bulk????

I booked some flights with them for one of our Jollyboys as they were about £100 cheaper than Ryanair and they phoned me back the following day to tell me the flights had gone up so I cancelled them. I've used them several times and never had any problem execpt the jollyboys flights

Done that quite a few years pal The Canaries are your guarantee of sun Get it booked ASAP as it only goes up closer to the time I'd avoid Lanzarote as it's often really windy around then for some reason. Get to Costa Adeje

jeep
Has anyone done Slovenia? Looks very tempting! I have, lovely country. Lake Bled Ljubljana Piran Postijna caves All worth a visit. We hired a taxi driver for 3 days, who took us all over the west side of the country. Even went to Trieste and a trip into Croatia. Definitely want to visit again before it's too late

Get to Costa Adeje we did 2 weeks in may for a few years running obvs a bit of a risk with the balearics then but we had, maybe, 2 iffy days over about 8 weeks did playa blanca in may and had a shitty 4 or 5 days always looked sunny in the distance
Smiley
Really enjoyed Malta, plenty to see and do. Valletta harbour cruise. Trip to see the boats at Marsallox (won't even both spelling that correctly). Visit to the ancient town of Mdina. Boat trip up to Gozo, Comino and the blue lagoon. Loads of good restaurants. Easy enough to get about the island on the local buses. Apparently the nightlife in St Pauls & St Julians is coming along in leaps and bounds for the younger generation. Plus you've got the option of good snorkelling and scuba diving. Oh, and boat trips around the caves. Canaries is what it is. Dog & Duck, full English breakfast, repeats of Only Fools & Horses. Etc - you know the score! Cracking sunshine (or cloud in Tenerife and wind in Lanzarote). If you want sunshine but no nightlife - just lounging around - won't go far wrong with Cape Verde. Slovenia - now there's a place I've been waiting on for direct Manchester or Liverpool flights to. If its anything similar to Croatia, then imagine its amazing.
