Phase 1 - May 18

• Allow outdoor meetings between people from different households
• Open up childcare for healthcare workers
• Phased return of outdoor workers
• Open retailers which are primarily outdoor or those which were open during first level of restriction (e.g. opticians)
• Opening of certain outdoor public amenities

Phase 2

• Allow visits to households
• Develop plans and supports to open up business with consideration for safety of staff and customers
• Open small retail outlets and marts where social distancing can be observed
• Open public libraries

Phase 3

• Allow small social gatherings
• Opening of crèches, childminders and pre-schools for children of essential workers in phased manner
• Return to work for those with low levels of interaction
• Open non-essential retail outlets with street level entrance and exit
• Open playgrounds

Phase 4

• Opening of crèches, childminders and pre-schools for children of all other workers on a gradually increasing basis
• Return to work for those who cannot work from home
• Gradual easing of restrictions for higher risk services (e.g. Hairdressers)
• Opening of museums, galleries, places of worship

Phase 5

• Allow larger social gatherings
• Return to work across all sectors
• On a phased basis, commencing at the beginning of the academic year 2020/2021, opening of primary and secondary schools and 3rd level institutions
• Further easing of restrictions on high risk retail services

 

Worringly, I can't see any planned re-opening of pubs there.

I'm still holding out hope that we'll learn enough about the disease in the coming weeks and months to effectively manage it after infection and allow us to re-open things earlier.

August 10th is the planned reopening date of pubs, should the other measures not increase the number of cases that is.

For the second week running there's been a bit of a street party not too far from me.

Wouldn't be so bad if they weren't cranking the music up to jet engine levels late in the evening when other neighbours would perhaps appreciate some consideration.

Yes in the main. Although maybe a fairer way is to provide a means tested grant if they can’t afford it for those who really can’t. There are a number of care home operators that do run at a loss and are looked after in the “intensive care” departments of the banks (no at on words intended). For those it is essential that we support them. But the four seasons of the world etc can fuck off

84% of care homes in the UK are privately owned and charging up to £2,000 per week, yet they have the audacity to say the government are failing to supply them with PPE.

You would imagine so mate that it has to be linked with increased deaths In the respective homes. 
 

we should open it up say tell you what you need PPE and need us to provide it right now? Ok there you go but after this is over we will assess it and if you didn’t need the funding we will charge you triple what you would have paid in open market. If you genuinely need our support you won’t be worried by this will you?

And the biggest ones owned by hedge funds been struggling for years we supply quite a few of the big groups and they’re on their arses. Can they not increase the charges per resident? I honestly know nothing about any of this.
