Had a good feeling about today, but not that good !

Stunning performance, goals 2 3 and 4 were out of the top drawer.

Loved how we were hunting down the ball in packs.

Think the ref letting things go fired one or two up 😁

The match thread on the Sunderland forum reached 150 pages of despair during the game

I was going to start a Stephen King book that I got for Christmas. Might just read that instead

They should be grateful they’re leaving the stadium with only 6 in their net.

We were fucking perfect, Fossey is outstanding.

they’re shit.

Their fans near crazy corner were funny

Not a Stewart Lee performance

Perfect is right, and yes Fossey is superb I love how he bounces up when he gets taken down

They can fcuk off next season if they think I'm renewing my ST.

Well you’ll be the one to miss out!! 😂😂😂

Great win. Evatt has really played a blinder in January. Charles, Fossey, Trafford & Morley are great additions. Changing the front 3 gave a real squad performance.

COYFWM!!

Bookies think its a walk in the park for S'land, got us 5/2 to win at home. We've had a few bad months but we've had two impressive wins back to back against a rejuvenated Ipswich side who's manager is meant to be the messiah & a Shrews team who's home form was formidable at the time. Not saying we've turned a corner although I seriously hope we have, think we was very good at SOL generally speaking just couldn't put the ball in the net. Their new signings are good on paper but they need to find a way to fit them all in yet. I respect Sunderland but f me they're not Bayern Munich or anything like people make out, they're a big club but it helps when they're from a city where only three teams are relevant near them.

What the fook do the bookies know! WHAT A PERFORMANCE! Absolute party time! Think we'll have a squad to have a right go next season, the signs are unbelievable atm

Fair point, but get them both.

Lee isn't that young anymore.

Plus Gillingham got totally tonked so he might be speaking to his owner on Monday.

It's no exaggeration to say that could quote comfortably have been 10.

Won every single individual battle on the pitch today and tactically got it spot on.

Sunderland were alright on the ball - but we were sensational today. Enjoy it because games where we play as good as that don't come around very often.

5 at the back really suits us with the squad we have at the moment. Struggling to pick a stand out player as they were all excellent. Should break the bank to keep Fossey. If ever there was a player made for our system it's him.

10/10.....! 👏👏👏

Danny Batth is my MOTM for that diving header.

Dion has made a big difference as has switching to two up top. We press better and look more balanced.

Dion is a proper striker. Always looking to get in behind. Never stops.

Having a proper goalkeeper has made a difference.

We look like a proper team again. Working hard and we've got our swagger back.

That chant of “6-0 to the wanderers” near the end could probably be heard on the plane that was flying overhead.

No better place on earth than our stadium when it’s like that.

My balls are fizzing.
