Back in action this weekend, am I right in thinking that we haven't played these at our gaff? so maybe another big following, anyhow back on track 3-1.

Nah we had them in 16/17 beat them, can't remember who scored but Clough scored the winner at theirs. They might have finished building the stand down the side now.

Well on the scale of “must wins” I’d say after the Carlisle debacle this must be high up there considering the games we’ve got following. Hopefully with a much bolstered squad and a good rest for the walking wounded we can get back to winning ways with a comfortable victory? 3-0 to the mighty Wanderers.

dunno, just remember a micro pub across the road and that 3 sided ground

not been since

The 3 sided ground with the cricket field on the far side ? If that, they've moved.

The new ground, Sixfields, South of the town, is 4 sided, albeit a bit of a Subbuteo ground on 3 sides.

what's injury situation like for this, are we expecting anyone back?

Santos and Maghoma. Not definite, but expected. And Jones is available again after serving his suspension.

I saw us there in the mid to late 80s. We won 1-0 and my recollection is Tomo scoring but I could be wrong. I’m not wrong about it being bloody freezing on that open terrace. Cricket pitch to our left and zero atmosphere. Nicky Brookman scored the winner in the home game.  Both games were typical of much of that era, small crowds, dull matches and a total lack of glamour or excitement!

Won 3-2 last game of 88/89 season after going 2 down - hardly anyone there from Bolton and we were on the side.

Won 2-0 the following season and we were behind the goal and it absolutely monsooned it down.

That was one I went to, 2-0 win, 89-90.  I can’t believe I used to stand on an open terrace in the winter getting pissed wet through just to watch a low standard game. Orient on a Tuesday night was a particular low point that I wouldn’t entertain now.  The Nicky Brookman winner at home was 88-89.
