Farnywhite Posted January 1 Posted January 1 (edited) Keeper has cost us about 9 points this season already ( orient , Blackpool Barnsley , reading , stand out plus a couple of others ) Miller looks poor as well so hopefully a new keeper in Jan Edited January 1 by Farnywhite Quote

L/H White Posted January 1 Posted January 1 Panic well and truly set in Chuck enough shit at the wall and hopefully some sticks Quote
Whitesince63 Posted January 1 Posted January 1 I actually like that team though I’d have preferred Forrester for Forino though it looks like Will’s on his way sadly. Quote

Taylor and Sissoko and Dalby also very poor signings Quote
Leyther_Matt Posted January 1 Posted January 1 Huge call on the keeper given his previous games Still not convinced it’ll be 4-4-2 but if so Gale and Forss will have to cover some serious ground If nowt else at least the food in the ground is decent 🤣 Quote
Popular Post boltonboris Posted January 1 Popular Post Posted January 1 Think the bingo machine thing is unfair. A LOT of footy been played recently and a lot more to come this month. It’s inevitable he’d have to make changes and I think it’s a positive thing that players who have let him down, will find themselves out of the team. If they’ve react positively, work hard and improve, then great. If they sulk and moan then they can simply fuck off Quote

Dr. Feelgood Posted January 1 Posted January 1 Goodness. I saw who was out & assumed it was injuries (I'm assuming Cole & ACD ARE injuries) but many are on the bench. I'm speechless. Obviously our squad is a good one & we can get a team out that can perform but this looks like he threw names in the air & saw how they landed. This needs to work or Schuey will look an arse. Quote
Jol_BWFC Posted January 1 Posted January 1 I personally think it’s too many changes in one go. But objectively: 1. People were calling for TSL to be dropped after the Exeter and Mansfield performances. 2. Toal hasn’t been on fire recently (those of us at Swindon will shudder at the thought of that pass to their striker). 3. Randall hasn’t dazzled in his 2 starts. 4. ACD hasn’t been up to his own high standards since he won player of the month. 5. People have been saying Burstow needs to be back in the starting 11. Quote
Eddie Posted January 1 Posted January 1 To be fair, other than either having Forss or Burstow on a wing and a poor sub keeper in net, I don’t mind it. Just feels like half a team is changed every game which isn’t a good thing IMO. Quote
1969 Posted January 1 Posted January 1 Could be a kick up the arse that some of the players need.Perform to the standard we know you can play at or your out of the team Quote
Popular Post gonzo Posted January 1 Popular Post Posted January 1 Everyone's been moaning all week about how shit everyone is and how the system doesn't work and we will struggle to make top 6. Manager reacts to some dross performances and shows the shower of shite players that nobody is safe and changes is system and he's still wrong. All before a ball is kicked. TSL was a liability all week now it's wrong he's dropped. Inverted wingers and lone striker doesn't work. Now he's changed it's still wrong. Bloke can't win. Quote
masi 51 Posted January 1 Posted January 1 Think we are just going Direct. TSL is a young keeper but SS knew what he was signing. The back up keepers certainly no better. Taken both Toal and Sheehan out means tippy tappy will be gone. Plenty of height to attack set plays Could be 4-4 this Quote

Seeing as much of what we do is based on being fitter than the opposition (so many late goals for tells its own story), I'm not shocked. Add in SS's disappointment/fury with the Mansfield result, plus our failures away from home generally, and this makes sense. I don't see it as any "bingo machine" bollocks, just astute management of the team over a busy period. I could be wrong and Doncaster might blow this side away 3-0. But I've got faith from my settee. Enjoy it, if you've gone! Quote
Arrested development Posted January 1 Posted January 1 Is this not gonna be the same formation with burstow or forss wide? Doesn't seem like 442 to me. Dalby up top, forss behind, gale and burstow wide. Quote
CambridgeBWFC Posted January 1 Posted January 1 Seems drastic some of the changes, but good points about changes needed and called for. If it works it will look a great decision, if not it is going to be fun on here Quote
Eddie Posted January 1 Posted January 1 Considering our XG woes - why not stick all 3 strikers on the pitch and see if we can actually put the thing in the fucking net! Whatever it is, we should beat Doncaster. Quote
Moonguest Posted January 1 Posted January 1 All set up for another Burton. Not a chance in a million of a win. Quote

He's made changes a lot of people have been calling for and now it's up to the players. Team is plenty good enough to beat Doncaster Quote

waffer cup 07 Posted January 1 Posted January 1 Wev'e got questionably the strongest squad in the league, so whatever side we put out they should beat Doncaster. Quote
bwfc4ife Posted January 1 Posted January 1 Interesting selection to say the least. I don’t get all the TSL criticism, he’s miles ahead of Miller. Sure SS did this last year after southwood made a mistake. Absolutely no creativity in the middle, presumably lots more sideways/backwards. I do like the ability to bring ACD second half though especially if we switch it. Quote
