Site Supporter Biggish Dave Posted August 23, 2013 Site Supporter Share Posted August 23, 2013 A few stand out for me, the first which spring to mind were both Ribery and shweinsteiger for Bayern. Also there was Fabregas in Coyles first game as manager. Â In the lower leagues, I remember a windy feb game at Blackpool where Tony Cunningham destroyed us. Trevor Sinclair also destroyed us in a Sherpa van trophy game. Â The outstanding lower league stuffing though was by Michael Brown in the 3-3 draw at Shrewsbury. Pity he never did it for us

Whites man
For a few seasons every time we played Liverpool & Villa then Gerrard and Barry were always the best players on the park.

Moderators Zico Posted August 23, 2013 Moderators Share Posted August 23, 2013 Gerrard in, I think, a 2-2 at our place, ran the show for most the game and for a good while were relentless in attack with everything starting and coming through him
gonzo
Paul jones for Southampton. Â 0-0 at the reebok. Â Only two players I've ever seen get 10/10 in the morning paper against us. Â One was him. Â Other was Di canio in the same season.

Duncan ferguson at Goodson , think we lost 4-3. They scored right on half time.

Eddie
Bit of a side note but one player that never played at his best against us from what I can remember is Thierry Henry. Â The best player to ever play in the Prem IMO and I can't remember him ever giving us many problems

jayjayoghani
Agree about Gerrard in the 2-2. In a way its the days like that I miss most. Even though we had a superb performance from an opposition player, we still got a point. Competing at near enough the highest domestic level. Â David Silva for City last season
