West Ham lose at Hull toneet and BSA may be out on his ear.

We lose at home tomorrow night and DF should be saying adios.

The return of the messiah is on. Please let it happen.

We couldn't even finance his pub tab, let alone wages and transfer budget.

Dougie is going nowhere unless we are cut loose at the bottom of the table. MMW.

Regarding Big Sam if I was Eddie I would ditch Gartside and bring him back the wages could be subsidized by offering Sam shares in the club and at the same time Eddie should clear the debt, I know I am dreaming here but wouldn't that be brilliant a clean slate no Gartside a proper manager and zero debt.

Hes a fucking moron. I dont expect to go up. Equally, regardless of the financial situation i dont expect to be in the bottom three of the championship with no wins in six and playing fucking awfully.

The one good thing about his comments is once you starting getting into verbals with the fans youre position soons becomes untenable.

as said already, having no money is one thing, being utter dross is another - and it was no different last season

other quotes of note:

"We’ve had some freak accidents go against us." - have we? name one

"My job has been to balance the books and make sure we keep some spirit and some fight, and I think I have done that." - I'll take your word for it on the books bit, but from what I can see spirit and fight are in short supply

"We need to remember where we are right now, not where we used to be." - we do, we're used to it after the last year, it's not easy to forget

"We are going to win a game of football, it’s just when" - yes, and well, yes

The comments sections on Evening News site are a hive of fury again today (I remember a time when they kept comments sections closed at a time like this) and again the tone of Illes' match verdicts seems increasingly frustrated with Freedman and the lack of any word from Gartside

It's a good point regarding Gartside. When we were in the Prem and all was rosy he was never off the bleeding TV or out of the papers.

Not heard a peep from him for bleeding ages.

His comment about deserving a draw on Saturday was the worst. Why couldn't he just admit we were second best but at least defended well enough to keep a clean sheet and earn a draw. Instead it is like he has to defend the performance by talking absolute rubbish. We got battered and definitely were luck to take a draw. He could have said he hoped a scrappy point was a turning point. But to try and say we played well and deserved a point is just ridiculous and everyone who watched the game knows that.

He obviously has to do some PR speak, I get that. But he's almost twisting himself into knots trying to put a positive spin onto everything rather than a bit of honesty.

Think he was refering to Boggers finger injury.

Why that affects the 10 outfield players and turns them shit i've no idea.

If wednesdays strikers had their boots on the right feet they'd have twatted us.

As i'd said elsewhere i can handle us being shite as long as we look like we're trying.

Colin Todd style glorious failure or Sam Allardyce style ugly success have become Dougie Freedman style ugly failure

I feel his comments have only succeeded in pushing him nearer to the trapdoor, he has begun to agitate what has so far been a fairly muted disgruntled fanbase. If the performance or result is as poor tomorrow then I fear the fans will show their feelings far more vocally than has so far been the case.

And wasn't the stand-in our man of the match?

Damaging management selection is an ongoing theme here:

And in the case of OC he disastrously got longer than he should out of blind loyalty to an ex player.

Megson, Coyle and now freedman were all wrong choices. At the expense of BWFC , they are now damaged goods and all 3 will struggle to get jobs at a decent level again.

In the mean time the embarrassment continues.....

In defence of PG there was only the Megson appointment that I was disappointed with given out PL status and the fact we were in the Europa. I think we could have done better!!

I was over the moon with OC appointment as were most, it was a major coup for us at the time.

Same again with Dougie, given where we were I think the appointment made sense and pinching a manager from a rival again is a bit of a coup.

Hindsight has shown that all 3 appointments where bad but who has the benefit of hindsight? I think all 3 would also say the same about their decision to join us.

Picking a football manager isn't easy, most end up failing and getting sacked, if they didn't then you would have a load of managers staying at clubs 10 years+

I'm happy to stick with PG but DF needs to go sooner rather than later

Russell slade at Leyton orient has apparently is under pressure, according to the wireless, he has done wonders there since taking over 2 seasons ago. I'd give him a chance. Got em from relegation trouble to touching distance of the playoffs and then into the playoffs last season

reet, so he might be good enough for our club based on him not being good enough for orient

odd logic, but carry on

ah reet, thought he meant on the pitch like in a liverpool v beach ball sort of way, or a daisy cutter that bounced on a divet or something

didn't think he was referring to a goalkeeper injuring his hand

it's not actually that much of a freak injury in my book, playing 5 a side (quite) a few years ago, I did my thumb in exactly the same circumstances after Jules Darby twatted a shot that sent my thumb one way as it went past, came back off the post, and sent my thumb the other way on the way back

out for 5 weeks and missed a 5 a side tournament

was gutted at the time
