Site Supporter Ratwhite Posted January 26, 2015 Site Supporter Share Posted January 26, 2015 4th round of cup at home to a Top NW premier club. Wobble your eds you delusional sods. £26 is all To the club. Get on it .
Traf
They should give Liverpool all the South Stand plus ESU or all the south and half of the entire West stand.
gonzo
£26 isn't ridiculous. I just think think they should have made it £20 to fill the ground. TV and those prices combined means we will have 18k on. 5k of them scousers and plenty of em in our end too.
davidjack
We'll have more than that Gonzo I think. We had almost 18 for Wigan...which tho cheaper was hardly a massive draw. As I've said before, the buzz is back. I said we'd sell out at Huddersfield and for Anfield...and I think people may be pleasantly surprised by the turnout for this. Hope so anyway, it's a totally different experience when the place is full.
davidjack
But I agree, £20 would have tempted a few more from their armchairs. Not sure if it's £26 because that was what it cost there. A fiver for under 18s is excellent though.
bwfc2003
Dont forget Liverpool have to agree to any price reductions
ianofcleveleys
They do, Swansea bizarrely wouldn't at Blackburn, hence 6000 on, was £24 for adults and £10 for kids, madness
Moderators Casino Posted January 26, 2015 Moderators Share Posted January 26, 2015 My understanding is that each round has minimum pricing The away team has no say in it if we charge at least the minimum I've no problem with the prices I do get pissed off folk wanting a good team yet whining cos they're not getting paid to turn up
Site Supporter Alf Hartigan Posted January 26, 2015 Site Supporter Share Posted January 26, 2015 i think it will be more or less a sell out, even at that price

Traf
It's £26 FFS. We pay more at plenty of away games in our own league.
davidjack
It's not about whining about not getting paid to turn up Casino...people on here will mostly be going I would imagine...it's about wanting to maximise the attendance. Clearly, with it being on telly, some will need tempting...if they didn't we'd be playing to 28k crowds every week. But as I say, NL is singlehandedly doing the tempting. I know loads who are planning to go who haven't been for ages. It only needs everyone who went to Anfield to bring 3 others and we've got a sell-out. That shouldn't be beyond us, should it? Site Supporter Ratwhite Posted January 27, 2015 Site Supporter Share Posted January 27, 2015 From the clubs perspective TV revenue will far outweigh the 1-2 thou that sulk at £26 Liverpool DO have a say in the pricing. 5500 paid £26/7 to go Anfield (concessions apart) reduced prices for U23 U18's Can't see how the club could do more. People moaning on here seem to have already forgotten the free coach travel on Saturday. It's a choice (and a honour) to support BWFC. Big games like this are few and far apart a present. Dig (a little) deeper and enjoy. Don't think we'll get to see Selhurts Park
Site Supporter Biggish Dave Posted January 27, 2015 Site Supporter Share Posted January 27, 2015 If JCL's moan about £26 for a one-off game in the cup against Liverpool then we've no chance of them paying similar for league games and increasing our average home crowd. It's not like we've hiked the prices right up. I'm happy to pay £26 for a match like this
ex_midlandwhite
It could be worse, we could be Wolves fans having to pay £33 for a league game this weekend

tomski
Don't think you can grumble at £26 notes. I am certainly not. Clubs chance to cash in. It sounds daft but may be the difference to a signing coming in or not. We have a real chance of getting through this. Fully worth it Imo. kent_white
It's £26 to watch Liverpool at home - £25 to watch Rotherham away tonight. It's hardly daylight robbery.
smeghead83
I've read through the entire thread and the irony is there's more folk moaning about the moaners! I'll not be in attendance as I generally don't have 26 quid for the ticket so will watch from my armchair. Any free spares? :-D
