HomerJay Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Madine can hold the ball up. Clough loses it often. Quote
Casino Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Yes he has but that's only because Clough hardly played. Madines game so predictable can't run past anyone can't our skill any one and is poor finisher, he's not bad at holding it up and not bad in the air, but that doesn't scare defenders in the championship. clough hasnt scared many this season which has me beat as hes very good with bags of potential for whatever reason, it hasnt happened for him Quote
gonzo Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Madine can hold the ball up. . Not that I've seen he can't. Quote
Take Hunt Off Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Madine needs help (not a psychologist)up front someone to take some weight off him & make some runs .Woolery should be given a chance tomorrow leave welly the show pony on the bench.Gotta be worth a try. Quote
deane koontz Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Stoke only spending 10 quid on a new player. Cheap cunts Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 clough hasnt scared many this season which has me beat as hes very good with bags of potential for whatever reason, it hasnt happened for him Had more attention from defenders but still scored 3 from 12 despite being nowhere near his best. Casino Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 a slightly better record than the 'bag of shit' that is gary madine and he needs to be near his best pdq Quote

clown Posted February 2, 2016 Posted February 2, 2016 Blackburn are fucked now, we will finish above them MMW. After our win tonight there will only be 7 points between us. Quote
Big E Posted February 2, 2016 Posted February 2, 2016 I liked Nicky Hunt. Local lad turned good. Lived most of our dreams Amen to that brother! the mother of his child is well tidy.... Quote
birch-chorley Posted February 2, 2016 Posted February 2, 2016 Blackburn are fucked now, we will finish above them MMW. After our win tonight there will only be 7 points between us. It might take us 20 months to get another 8 points Quote
jules_darby Posted February 2, 2016 Posted February 2, 2016 Welly can't defend Why not go balls out and put him, Clough and Woolery as a top 3? Get Trotter, Spearing and Pratley as a solid (??) middle 3 behind to stop them rampaging through the middle Madine can stay in the changing room doing his hair. The massive, massive Fanny We may as well go down having a go because at the moment we are impotent and can't defend anyway Quote
Biggish Dave Posted February 2, 2016 Posted February 2, 2016 I presume Clough was passed fit about 8 hours ago. Great business keeping him, gives us a minor chance of competing Quote
Casino Posted February 2, 2016 Posted February 2, 2016 Put your rod away Cass. Can only think you're missing the point Colugh has been a major let down this season Quote
enzo gambaro Posted February 2, 2016 Posted February 2, 2016 Clough's a twenty year old with 17 starts to his name. if he's let you down, it might be because circumstances forced you to put all your faith in a kid who'd shown (and continues to show) plenty of promise. The injuries haven't helped him, but there's also an argument that Clough has been badly let down this season, too. Quote

Agree 100% the whole pressure of keeping the club up shouldn't be on his young shoulders, he should be used carefully while he is still developing physically, we should have good enough senior pros available while he's allowed to develop at his own pace. jules_darby Posted February 2, 2016 Posted February 2, 2016 Not sure how Clough has let us down He clearly worked on his physicality and upper body strength last pre-season, but he was still marked well / out-muscled in some games.....the emphasis there should be on the team to exploit other spaces when he's clearly being targeted by a couple of defenders. Oh and he got injured. OK he didn't score in every game, but what do you expect? I agree we shouldn't be pinning all of our hopes on him, but keeping him should give us a boost to take into games Let's get him and Woolery unleashed - they have no fear yet....some of the senior pro's are so brow beaten they are "hiding" and don't want the ball....it's them that need the actual break Quote

The last thing his shoulders need is pressure Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted February 2, 2016 Posted February 2, 2016 Whole heartedly agree mounts and Jules. He is still a kid, but sure he'd do better with better team mates. Hugely pleased to have kept him, as is NL which will give him a boost too. Can only be good news. Quote
Eavesy Posted February 2, 2016 Posted February 2, 2016 With feeney and pratley undroppable who makes way for Clough? Quote
Sweep Posted February 2, 2016 Posted February 2, 2016 With feeney and pratley undroppable who makes way for Clough? I'm not sure......but it only becomes and issue if and when Clough is fit, which doesn't seem to be that often at the minute Quote
gonzo Posted February 2, 2016 Posted February 2, 2016 With feeney and pratley undroppable who makes way for Clough? Without feeney and pratley we would be relegated already. Quote
