Marc505 Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 These are ridiculous, scary figures for standard players. Barmy. Quote
Rizlar Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 According to the BEN football league will only let us sign a player when one leave fecking bully boy tactics. Quote
BOWTUN BAKED Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 Watford pay 12.5m for some 20 year old from Spanish outfit Granada!! Villa sign a keeper for 4.1m! Bournemouth pay 5.4m for a 20 yr old Le Havre striker! 10m for Gayle to Newcastle  I'm hoping folk will realise the silly money around in the top leagues & stop underestimating the potential values of Clough & Holding! Eddie Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 Sounds more like he didn't fancy it now. Still nuts Hadn't seen that bit Tomski, I don't blame him to be fair.  The Chinese team (managed by Sven) have only just bought Hulk for £46m last week, there's some serious cash knocking about out there as well. Mounts Kipper Posted July 3, 2016 Posted July 3, 2016 Couldnt agree more. Â Me nether 1/2 a good season and your in the 5 million bracket. Quote
Carlos Posted July 3, 2016 Posted July 3, 2016 I disagree, top(ish) players are moving for silly money, same as Premier League money, it doesn't trickle down much. It doesn't mean the best player in League One is worth £37 million. Quote

It has to trickle by some percentage? I appreciate they may not get that. Quote
Carlos Posted July 3, 2016 Posted July 3, 2016 Fulham paid 11m for him in the first place! Fuck knows how and why. There are serious attempts to get into the Prem, as those in the Prem are desperate to avoid relegation. Again, I don't see what impact this has on League One players. Quote
white noise Posted July 3, 2016 Posted July 3, 2016 Sounds like a decent signing. 6'4" and good in the ball. Quote
freds dad Posted July 3, 2016 Posted July 3, 2016 Beevers signed up Be able to dam the gaps in defence. Quote
miamiwhite Posted July 3, 2016 Posted July 3, 2016 Be able to dam the gaps in defence. Shore up the defence, stem the tide of attacks and stop the flood of goals going in. Quote
freds dad Posted July 3, 2016 Posted July 3, 2016 And a bit of a twat by all accounts. Could we lodge a complaint? Quote
Take Hunt Off Posted July 3, 2016 Posted July 3, 2016 Could we lodge a complaint? Â Only if you loggin first. Quote
Farrelli Posted July 4, 2016 Posted July 4, 2016 I don't know much about Beevers or Taylor so I will reserve judgement. However, Parkinson seems to be going for tried and trusted league 1 players on a very limited budget - seems an ok policy. I expect three of Clough, Holden, Pratley, Davies to go before the season starts. Hopefully the latter two only. Quote
Biggish Dave Posted July 4, 2016 Posted July 4, 2016 Football league want us to ship out an attacking player before bringing Proctor in apparently. How can they dictate who we move out and who will want Madine? Quote
EyesRight Posted July 4, 2016 Posted July 4, 2016 Football league want us to ship out an attacking player before bringing Proctor in apparently. How can they dictate who we move out and who will want Madine? Can't we just say we are using him as a back up keeper? Quote
Take Hunt Off Posted July 4, 2016 Posted July 4, 2016 Surely they aren't that specific ? I would expect Holden to be away soon given Beevers is a left sided CB. The loan back option is less of a obstacle Hope we get a decent price though which realistically would be two million. Think Taylor left sided too & that addresses one of the major defects in our past managers thinking ie it doesn't matter that there is no balance in the team. We haven't had a decent leftsided midfielder since Christ knows when. Quote
Horwich Posted July 4, 2016 Posted July 4, 2016 Holding and clough will go to balance the books Quote
