miamiwhite Posted May 23, 2017 Posted May 23, 2017 Some morsel of good news at least. One of the missing teenagers Laura MacIntyre from Isle of Barra has been found alive, albeit seriously injured. Sadly, her friend is still missing. Quote

Spider Posted May 23, 2017 Author Posted May 23, 2017 Dunno if it's my age, the fact I'm a parent or the sheer fucking closeness to home but I've been an emotional wreck today. Want to twat someone but there's simply no one I can hit. Quote
jules_darby Posted May 23, 2017 Posted May 23, 2017 Dunno if it's my age, the fact I'm a parent or the sheer fucking closeness to home but I've been an emotional wreck today. Want to twat someone but there's simply no one I can hit. Yeah I know what you mean keep switching between sadness and anger Just wanted to see my little boy all day. Really odd Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted May 23, 2017 Posted May 23, 2017 I walk part way with my lad each morning before he carries on to school. As he wanderers off down the road, a brief flash of something nasty went through my head. Wanted to tell him to sod it off for the day and come home. Glad I didn't, but still wanted to be back for him at finishing time. Sadly his mate over the road goes to the same school as a couple of potential victims- brings it home. Quote
radcliffe white Posted May 23, 2017 Posted May 23, 2017 Similar to me, my daughter has the same name of the girl who's missing and similar age I don't normally get emotional on things like this but been hard today Quote
mickbrown Posted May 23, 2017 Posted May 23, 2017 I fucked work off early so I could pick the nipper up when she finished school. I knew they'd have been talking about it al day and wanted to be there when she left school in case she was upset at all. She just wanted to bounce on her trampoline - kids are tough little buggers. stevieb Posted May 23, 2017 Posted May 23, 2017 My lad was born when we lived in manc so when he heard "Manchester" and saw all the ambulances on the news this morning when he woke up he asked me what it was. Was dusty as fuck in our front room when I told him a bad guy had made an explosion. How the fuck do you explain this to kids? Luckily he's not even 4 yet so two minutes later he wanted a yoghurt before pre school. My worry is, with another on the way, they won't know any different and this is the world they are being born into. Madness. Quote
Whites man Posted May 23, 2017 Posted May 23, 2017 kids are tough little buggers. Aye but I bet most got an extra strong hug today. Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted May 23, 2017 Posted May 23, 2017 Spent all evening outside in the back garden with my lad playing football and cricket. No tv and off to bed before I see the news. Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted May 23, 2017 Posted May 23, 2017 Mick- its the poor kids that witnessed it and friends of victims that I feel for. Mentally scarred for ever; going to be a far bigger event as the years go on. My lad seems fine too thankfully. Quote
jules_darby Posted May 23, 2017 Posted May 23, 2017 Terror threat level raised to critical. Scary. They must have some intel They don't just do that willy nilly Quote
miamiwhite Posted May 23, 2017 Posted May 23, 2017 They must have some intel They don't just do that willy nilly My thoughts exactly. As I said earlier, I'm fearing a bad summer with terror attacks here. Quote
