Hya Si, not been on here for a while so glad to see you are making a good recovery. I've been through the wars myself and also on clopidogrel amongst other drugs for the rest of my life. The cause of my downfall was ale but been off it now for nearly two years after I was diagnosed with liver disease. Must admit I've never felt better, my weight loss was alarming and was being sick all the time but have made a full recovery so it can be done. Hope our paths cross again in the near future, you never know, I might see you on the Glasgow bound train again.

Getting married this weekend too. There was the new Mrs Ogbeta, expecting a nice home overlooking the sea in Devon and now she's moving to Barnsley.

That headline also suggests he's a "Celtic reject" and an offer has been rejected
  4. What an absolute fucking fanny. Seriously - I don't know how you can be impressed by someone like this? He's so brittle that he can't even stand up to some medium scrutiny. The job of the press is a bit like the job of the opposition (in a healthy functioning democracy of course). And twatty bollocks should have the intellectual rigour and courage in his own convictions to be able to counter those very reasonable questions. It isn't the job of the press to cheerlead from the sidelines unless you have a state media. Which is probably where DT and PH would like to end up. This is very weak leadership for me. And the more you try and demand that everybody agrees with you, the more it looks like you're attempting to silence questions and/or cover things up. It's not WWF wrestling.
  5. Good a place as any
  6. Frank Gardner (BBC security correspondent) sums it up pretty sensibly in his report today...... I'm not sure you can take any other position on this really unless it's for purely ideological reasons. "the Pentagon briefing we have just watched is directly at odds with the claims made by Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei earlier today. The US, said Iran's leader, who has only just emerged from hiding, had "failed to achieve anything significant" in its attacks on Iran's key nuclear facilities. Yet those attacks, specifically the one on the most important site at Fordo, were "a historic success" according to the US Defence Secretary, destroying or "obliterating" Iran’s nuclear programme. They can't both be right. So let’s break this down. Did those 12 massive US bunker-busting bombs, the GBU-57s, all hit their targets in the mountain at Fordo? Yes. Were they the culmination of years of painstaking study by the Pentagon on how best to attack Iran's deeply buried uranium enrichment programme? Yes. Did they choose the best line of attack - the ventilation shafts - then detonate at the right depth to achieve maximum effect? Yes. But that's not the whole story. We simply don't know, beyond conjecture, what state those centrifuges are in, down there in that subterranean hall, because neither US nor UN inspectors have been down there. Crucially, we don't know where the missing 408kg of highly enriched uranium (HEU) has gone to. And we don't know - because this was a Pentagon briefing, not an intelligence assessment - how much of a nuclear knowledge base Iran retains that could soon, potentially be applied to restarting its programme in secret. So in short, from a purely tactical point of view, the B2 pilots who flew that extraordinary 37 hour mission to drop those 13-tonne bunker-busting bombs fulfilled their mission to the letter. But when it comes to the question of whether Iran's suspected nuclear programme has actually been destroyed (as the US claims), or merely set back, the jury is still very much still out."
  7. Son in Law is in Mallorca they are a Hour in Front ive just asked who we have First Game
  8. Less Ant and Dec, perhaps a reboot of Brucie’s Play Your Cards Right? I can hear it now as the audience yells out “lower”, “higher” etc. Compulsive viewing.
  9. The fact a derailment has made 2.5 hours late is irrelevant; this is always the correct response
  10. Who was it on here that said Trump pushes all his buttons 😂 And some folk refusing to travel to USA while he's in charge 🤪
  11. Last year’s AST holders get first dibs, then if the limited allocation isn’t taken up, they get offered to Lancaster Whites and The Vulcan next.

Wrexham got promoted last season scoring the same number of goals as us. We've lost a 10-12 (League) goals a season man and replaced him with someone likely to get similar, but who will offer a more physical presence, so i'd argue an upgrade already (if he does his job). The key issue has been to change the 'character' of the squad and strengthen the spine of the team. I do expect us to bring in another forward, but i don't think we are left behind by any stretch! And I'm not sure we score more goals by simply buying more forwards. One of the biggest issues last season was the constant conceding of the first goal. Scoring first gives you an 88% chance of winning or drawing the game (i love a stat). This has to be the key focus for SS. Also worth considering that the deal to bring TSL to the club was clearly done weeks and weeks ago. For all we know, there are players training at the club today who have already signed but not been announced! There are risks with the way we are doing things. If SS doesn't succeed, fan pressure may tell and then we have another manager coming in with newer players on 3-4 year contracts who weren't his (or her) choice. Also a risk with a leaner squad that will likely need the youngsters from time to time. We have been hit heavily with injuries for some time, so the club need to find a solution to this as they are clearly talented, but raw. Really important that SS is given time and space to get this right, even if it takes a couple of seasons. Last thing. No idea how much creedence in the N'Mai rumours from Salford. Salford clearly touting him. But he's outstanding. Said it before but i will nail my colours to the mast and say 1 million for him (likely less up front then a sell on) would turn out to be a snip in a couple of years.

  21. I've not seen anything to suggest Reform could run a government that is capable of doing the basics let alone sort out any of the big issues They're just a protest vote Hopefully Labour can demonstrate some sort of improvements over the next 4 years Even then It might not be enough

We’ve just given Hutchinson a fresh two year deal. We have two keepers without Southwood and can always loan a keeper in an emergency. A few positions where we haven’t got two options to be sorted first.

Rather stick pins in my eyes than watch this shite comp.
  25. Would expect details in the next few days. Think they usually wait for the fixtures to come out first and the first batch of Sky & GMP changes.
  26. Don't worry, Corbyn is waiting in the wings alongside the lady of the house. A few commies still knocking about in parliament to chuck there lot in with, and maybe the odd, coloured haired former minister or lentil bashing loon too. A new-old Labour party, for the hard non-working people.
  27. Of course, but that's the Don to a T. Pinch of salt, and a smile. From what I understand they did hit ventilation shafts as part of it. In terms of actual evidence, it's going to need eye witness testimony to assess fully, as satellite imagery isn't going to show anything through a hillside. Latest calls today- from CIA to mon iirc- is that there is no evidence that the uranium was removed from the site, so maybe there are folk on the ground that can carry out necessary observations. That notwithstanding, it is somewhat bizarre that a strike that the western world is behind has been pilloried to a degree, which seems to be purely because Trump authorised it. We all know what a bell he can be, but it's reasonable to take events on their own merits. Whatever level of damage there actually is, it is going to put back their efforts, and put more financial pressure on Iran, and it is already reeling from sanctions, and now loss of much of it's offensive and defensive missile infrastructure.
  28. No such thing as a hard start in this league. Looked at the fixtures and thought we’ve some crap to play this season.
  29. I'll let you know if i ever watch it 👍🏻
  30. Agreed. He’s a proper knobhead that @L/H White.

  36. Aye but I can see why, our company got fined over a billion dollars a few years back so everything is by the book now.
  37. They've had their name changed to Crisis Club Sheffield Wednesday
  38. It would be "understandable" if it was directed at a politician, as they can literally affect peoples lives for the worse. I wouldn't condone it of course, but at least there'd be some semblance of logic involved.
  39. It's a fair point, and i hope she does stand firm. However, i do know that even at the end, she didn't want rid. It was fan pressure (and Nick Luckock pressure) that saw him go. Also can't help but think he may have been bombed out by Xmas in his first season had fans been in the ground. It's all hypothetical really but I think SS needs some time and space to get this right. As you say, barring disasters, I am happy to give him a couple of seasons to get this right!
  40. Good 1 its a shit, shit away 2 mad race for tickets 3 im in crete Perfect start

  45. if there's one game you could pick SS to come and make a statement of how things will change for the better for the season ahead, it's Stockport away
  46. Well they've got a sale on the women's teams tops so got one for my middle daughter to wean her off this Liverpool supporting nonsense.
  47. Absolutely Nice to see they’re campaigning for the release of people who incited widespread rioting, violence & racial hatred. That’ll help keep us all safer won’t it? Sounds like culture politics to me. Deport the foreign extremists & release all the white British ones. Ok then Richard 👍
