We only have one team to fear in the play offs.........ourselves!!

Thought there was nothing really in the first half, then a huge gulf in quality in our favour in the second. Then we scored a great goal, then out of nothing let them have one. We're almost beyond analysis at this point. We'll continue to do all the same shit every week good and bad and either we'll nick it by a goal (or penalties) or they will. Fun to watch Cissokho today though. Must have had a dribble success rate of 100%.

The last 9 includes Port Vale, Doncaster, Rotherham and Cardiff and we were shite in all of those. And that's almost half the games, so I take the point. However... and christ knows as someone who thinks we've been under par all season... I do think we've played well in these last three. We were properly turgid win, lose or draw for months but against Stevenage and Huddersfield we looked more like the side that was beating teams at home comfortably at the start of the season. And we translated that to an away game for a decent amount of the game today (against a team with the third best home record in the league) whereas in the past we've looked like a totally different side on the road. Small sample size, but I think there's enough there to believe that (with RR and Kenny properly integrated into the side and ACD fit again) we can play our best football coming into the playoffs. That doesn't mean we'll blow anyone away - we still concede basically any time the opposition put us under any pressure - but I think there's room for optimism.

I disagree hugely. Today was a decent example of the difference between playing home and away when it gets to the nitty gritty last 10 or 15 minutes. If that game had been a play off and gone to E-T, its a whole different ball game being away than having our crowd behind us at home, as we've seen countless times in league games. Its huge to make sure we're at home in the 2nd leg given how tight every game is.

Well there are some religious nutjobs in and around that administration. I think that has a big influence on their thinking. There's one or two actively trying to usher in 'the second coming' - which is alarming in itself. The UK and Europe have spent the last couple of decades building ourselves as globalists which the US now seems to be retreating from at pace. We need to make a decision about whether we do the same way. And they also seem to be moving back to the 'spheres of influence politics'. Personally I think we should be throwing our lot in with the Europeans - who seem to still have some degree of moral fibre about them. We are no longer strong enough militarily to cope alone. I don't think many individual countries in Europe are anymore. So we need to start rapidly thinking about our own collective defence - and distance ourselves from the US until they either go completely bat shit crazy (which is currently my best estimation on where they will end up) OR see the absolute folly of their current approach, and return to reasonable and a rules based international order. Either way - Europe needs to be self sufficient. The US have stopped being a reliable ally.

What a proper number 9 type finish that was from Kenny today. Top class, and some major scenes in that stand. Ace. Top day, decent town, shit trains.

I should also add that Cyrus Christie possibly had his best game for us; we all know his limitations, but I thought he coped pretty well today. Forino was like a man mountain, but as a defence we do give far too many cheap free kicks away near our box. As for Thierry Gale, he did nothing wrong.

Cissoko superb today, really pleased for him, ran himself into the ground. ACD not at the races by his own standard, but on another scores 3. Sheehan & Rodrigues all over the pitch again. Fantastic goal and good all round play from Kenny. At this level, he might just have it all, pace, aggression, strength, awareness and the ability to score. Bang in form right now and I fear Celtic will want £3m+ for him.

Just got home. Thought we played really well and just got let down by the one poor defensive play all day. Nobody to pick out positively or negatively tbh, just a solid display. Great atmosphere. Our fans did us proud during the tributes and, fair play, that was acknowledged by the Bradford fans. Only 10 hours until our train to the Edinburgh derby 😴

I was in the home end, corner to the far left as away fans look. Fantastic goal celebrations, wish I was part of it properly. Loud all game, top effort. Cissoko unplayable, where has that come from? Sloppy goal to concede, but Bradford said the same about ours... where were their defence?! City centre afterwards was pretty smart, I thought. Even if the road up to the ground looked like an Istanbul derby pre-match! Few post-game beers with a Bradford pal, they really don't want to play us again. We have nothing to worry about if we play them in the semis. Apart from the dogshit trains...

Pre match.....Bradford centre was buzzing with several pubs packed out & overflowing with mostly their fans (the Old Bank ?? was mostly Bolton ), the market area had a busy fanzone & one street on the way to the ground was closed off & packed out in some seemingly organised do. It all built up a great atmosphere so it was surprising how quiet their fans were at the game until they scored.....maybe because we were so good !! & the remembrance stuff, i'm glad to say Bolton respected it perfectly & it was tastefully done, ( I could live without YNWA but it's up to them )

I thought we looked the better team first half just lacked that bit of composure. Their plan was go long and pick up on the second balls which they did time and again. Add set pieces to that. They seemed quite solid at the back and I felt that we lacked Dalby’s presence up top. Mason worked his socks off and did well for Kenny’s assist but he’s a sub at best for me. Christie looked in trouble a few times, when’s tutu back? Was it 1 or 3 games? I thought toal and Forino both had good solid games, just disappointing that Bonham spooned that catch because they were actually creating nothing. Thought Sheehan was very quiet today, rueben looked very neat and tidy but gave the ball away in dangerous areas a couple of times. I think if we’d have had another option up front from the bench, we may have won that with a change earlier in the game. Shout out to Cissoko, he was class today just a shame that nothing comes from it but he certainly gave the full back nightmares

They were a hoof ball team , that could play a little bit, playing for corners and free kicks . Scored with their only shot on target that we had 4 chances at clearing . Bonham tries to catch the ball and as he comes down it bounces off the bonce of Forinho . Seen it happen loads at higher leagues . We hit the bar , had 2 cleared off the line , their keeper makes a worldy plus another very good save and we score a goal of the season contender again . Plus at least 2 other really good chances . Ive no fear if we meet them over 2 legs.

Don’t know how anyone sits low down behind the goal for home games - I feel like I’ve no real idea how that game went, all perspective is lost (class when Kenny sticks it in that net though). First half felt like it just went by without any real incident - did ACD hit the bar after about 15 mins? Like @Tombwfc says, second half we looked far better and could have had a couple before Kenny scores that beaut (he’s very very good at this level). Their goal was unbelievably avoidable. It all starts with ACD playing a pointless nothing pass inside when there was nobody on. Then as always a ball goes over our left back (looked like GJ should have had it on the full but missed it), then he does his usual and grabs after the player when he could have just tracked back and pushed him out wide. The free kick should have been dealt with by Bonham but he fucked it up, we looked like we’d got away with it and half cleared it and then suddenly it’s in the net (still no idea what happened). Then straight back to us controlling the game. From what I could see - Kenny class, Burstow probably his best game for us for a while, Cissoko unplayable, Rodrigues very comfortable and the rest did fine. We were unlucky not to win it (story of the season)! Based on that, I really wouldn’t be arsed about getting them in the play offs. If we have them at home 2nd leg then we’ll easily get passed them, they’ve got very little. Top away day, bring on the play offs.

Earlier in the season, Gale was doing well, and Cissoko was getting absolute pelters. Flavour of the month. Whoever gets in simply has to deliver from now on in.
