Whitesince63 Posted Friday at 11:18 Posted Friday at 11:18 The mad thing is they haven’t got a half bad squad, certainly not to be bottom of the league so let’s hope they don’t choose this weekend to start the turnaround? Obvious I know but we just need to take the chances we undoubtedly will create. Do that and we need fear nobody in this league. Quote

I know we wouldn’t expect that kind of comment from Sharon, even if we deserved it, but there’s something right about an owner calling out the manager and players for shit performances - it is his money after all. After that I have no doubt Posh will be fired up and MacAntony is right - he’s paid for better. Spent much ?? They have made a multi million surplus on transfers for at least 4-5 years. From last season sure they have lost their three top scorers. The surplus this year was about £2.5m , even with Poku, Jones and Kyprianou going on frees to higher level clubs. Speaking to some P.boro fans a couple of years ago and they were saying they were always a bad transfer window away from disaster. They had done well to find a few gems each year but if that dried up they would be screwed. Get into them early and batter them. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/peterborough-united/transfers/verein/1072 Quote

The net gain or loss from transfers is not public knowledge. Even on transfermarkt Peterborough bought 7 players for an undisclosed fee. The net gain or loss from transfers is not public knowledge. Not just this season but last 4-5 years. But if net gain or loss is not public knowledge why did talk about them having spent so much ? Are you ignoring sales ? Quote

I think that's a given otherwise SS wouldn't have signed him. Presumably the discussion is about if he's not fit. Or, how fit does he have to be to justify starting? Its not like he can do half a game like he has so far, and then we're in the same situation as last week and need to use up a sub. Who's the least squarest peg for that round hole! My vote is for Toal because whatever we lose with him not being a right back, we make plenty up with his heading ability in both boxes, and just the fact that he's a decent defender. The opposition would have him to worry about at our corners not just Forino. Quote
